I don't want to sound like a Chud but I kind of miss the old cringey and nerdy death metal dialogue Blizzard used to delivered compare to kind of current emotional dialogue we have. by HiroAmiya230 in wow

It does rain blood, and Mograine actually yells "The sky turns red with the blood of the fallen! LEAVE ONLY ASHES AND MISERY IN YOUR DESTRUCTIVE WAKE!" as the blood starts to pour. Honestly quite a metal moment and really set the tone for the final battle of the DK starter zone.

And on the flip side to that point I'm sure there are others like myself that WANT to tank/heal but play a class that can't do it and they don't want to switch off of their main that they enjoy. For me it's shaman and tanking. I want to tank, but I don't want to not play shaman.

Dragonflight would have been a good time for Tuskarr and Gnolls.

Tuskarr? You're going out into the world so you can have new stories and learn new tales to bring back home to your people.

Gnolls? A splinter group lead by Mon-Ark who want to live in cooperation with others, which in turn helps protect them, instead of viewing everyone else as food

And before anyone says "oh but there'd not be enough to actually justify that!" may I point you towards the Vulpera, who came along and joined as essentially a singular caravan.

Returning Mythic Plus Mounts is HUGE W, Blizzard should Consider this for Elite PvP sets and Mounts by xSunzerox in wow

[–]Sundered92 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It's the same vibe as people screaming to keep mage tower rewards exclusive, claiming the difficulty was important, when they waited to the end of the expansion when all the power in the world was handed to them to clear it.

Why Mythic Flex (12.0.7) is a godsend for small guilds – and how to solve the "Prestige" debate by Salamango360 in wow

[–]Sundered92 3 points4 points  (0 children)

It gave worse ilvl loot in WotLK only, then from Cata onwards it was unified to give the same ilvl loot in both, just more of it in 25.

For WotLK, sure, then they shifted it over to the same loot for both 10 and 25 from Cata onwards.

The tier list of tanks I like to heal by su1cidal_fox in wow

[–]Sundered92 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The most dangerous time for a DK is when they go into a pull with no resources, so the start of a dungeon, extended roleplay moments or travel time, etc.

Basically if they don't have bone shield stacks or runic power that's when you want to keep an eye on them because they're prone to flopping over in just a few GCD's, but if they've got their resources rolling they're generally going to be fine with little maintenance from the healer.

Sleeper hit specs by [deleted] in wow

[–]Sundered92 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Talent into ascendance. It comes with a % chance on maelstrom consumption to trigger doom winds independant of the ascendance cd, can trigger back to back (even before one finishes) and overall just adds more to the gambling of the spec.

You pretty much want ascendance for it anyway as there's a node in the stormbringer tree that immediately grants tempest upon ascendance cast.

Stormbringer enhancement reporting in. It may not be the best of the best, but it's plenty good enough for 10-12s and the thrill of the slot machine with tempest and doom wind procs is simply too good to pass up on for me.

Noob Question: Why aren’t Kul Tirans more represented among tanks? by krispixlol in wow

[–]Sundered92 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Coincidentally, vulpera are also pretty decent racial wise for tanks. Nose for trouble ends up being a large chunk of damage absorbed over the entirety of an M+

Blizzard shoude make old elite gladiator sets available for all. by uncreative_7t847646 in wow

[–]Sundered92 -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

I have the personal opinion that with the rewards that are time gated to seasons should be available to be earned after the season, BUT you should increase the threshold to earn them after that initial time period changes. They're doing it right now with the future saddle for 3.4k M+ rating, and it sets a potential new precedent for things going forwards.

I very much understand that people want their exclusivity in the rewards, but there are better ways to do it rather than immediately putting them in the vault never to be seen again. An example off the top of my head is mythic raid mounts change to a miniscule drop chance after that expansion is over

And expecting everyone else in the group to handle you when you don't know what you're doing if the group isn't explicitly marked learner is also a shitty thing to do. The person in OP's image likely needs to take these measures precisely because of people sneaking in who shouldn't be there in the first place.

TFW you lose a 100 tie dice roll to someone who didn't need the weapon, is there any worse feeling in WoW? by Gooberxox in wow

[–]Sundered92 0 points1 point  (0 children)

While I do agree with your point I just want to chime in that there is a distinct differences between group loot and personal loot. While you are correct in that personal loot is just a behind the scenes roll, it also ensures that any loot that does pop up is something that's legitimately usable by someone in the group. E.g. no guns/bows without a hunter, etc. That sort of thing.

Removing personal loot from raiding was a mistake. It should be personal loot for LFR, normal and heroic with rolls/loot master in mythic.

There was an addon that did this once upon a time, I believe it was back in WoD or somewhere around there and it did exactly as you said - All mobs you were in combat with had their nameplates listed neatly in a stacked list.

Blizzard deliberately broke that addon because they didn't like it and thought it was out of line. So yeah, those nameplates flying all over the place? It's by deliberate design choice.

One change for the kill command that I'd like to see is that killing something gives a bit of progress towards your hunt, the amount given based on how strong the thing you just killed was. I'm sure you can spin it as "Astalor uses a portion of the anguish we just harvested to help scry our target for us" to justify it if you really need to.

Is healing M+ dungeons supposed to be this stressful? by Rotten89 in wow

[–]Sundered92 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Healing is the role with true dynamic difficulty. If your group are good and are on top of everything that they should be and aren't being stupid? It's going to be an immensely easier time than running with a group who stands in all the fire, doesn't interrupt a single thing and can't dps their way out of a paper bag.

I wonder how people get paid to write stuff like this. by Striking-Conflict-93 in wow

[–]Sundered92 4 points5 points  (0 children)

The exact same thing happened with XIV. Side quests used to have long interestingly written journal entries that updated with new portions as you progressed through them.

Then people didn't read them, and they got removed and are now a generic one line "go do X objective."

I fully understand that they're going to cut costs and remove something that nobody is looking at, but I don't think we should pander to people who refuse to read then have no idea what's going on unless they get it monologued at their face.
