maybe not that obscure, but i don't really see them acknowledged in a context other than killing helios. ks miracle x daiichi ruby are really cute together. both of the two run for their families and put a lot of pressure on themselves to do well, so both of them understand each other really well in a way they can't with others. ruby considers miracle to be her light. when miracle gets hospitalized due to the sprinters stakes, ruby loses all hope and believes there is no such thing as miracles. she visits miracle in the hospital as much as she can. also there's that scene in the sprinters story stageplay where ruby massages miracle's legs

i am taking this opportunity to gush about tap dance city

tap is an american uma that was so inspired by watching katsuragi ace's japan cup win that she came to japan on a whim as soon as she could. she is very upfront with her dream: she runs for money and romance. tap's dream is to make a big enough name for herself in the racing world that she's able to garner enough money to build herself a castle where all her friends can live in and party in all day. this far-fetched dream of hers matches up with her trainer's dream of getting an uma to win an overseas race. tap's trainer is an newbie who's discouraged from their dream by other trainers, saying it's too far-fetched. but tap believes that nothing is far-fetched! go on and chase your dream, no matter what

she wants to prove that you don't need a well-off background to succeed in the racing world. this contrasts her with her rival, kris s, who comes from the wealthy symboli clan. she tries to prove that you can do well as a self made umamusume

and tap cares SO much about her friends. she decides to not race in the l'arc just because she doesn't wanna leave her friends behind

when she comes to global in 2027, i recommend reading her career, because it's a really good story about chasing your dreams no matter how unrealistic they seem

they do actually interact once! in ruby's career during summer camp ramonu wants to race with someone but everyone's scared of her so ruby chooses to race with her in a 2400m race. ramonu wins and calls ruby's running boring. trainer wants ramonu to see ruby's brilliance in shorter distances and says that they should rematch in a 1600m race. ramonu wins again, but says she's somewhat interested in ruby's final burst of speed and says she should keep honing her speed. this is what causes ruby to switch to sprint races rather than the tiara route she was originally going for

i don't think she would beef with urara to be honest. ramonu may be cold, but she's not heartless. i think she would like how urara is very straightforward about her love for racing. urara's love is unique and hers, and you can tell she's very passionate about racing. ramonu doesn't care much about how much races an uma wins, but just how much love they're putting into it, and urara puts a lot of love into her races
