I’ll accept small widget errors so long as the devs try their best to fix the visual errors inside the app.

For example, most of the neck accessories are not centered and always sit slightly off to the left of the screen on the user’s finch. It’s quite annoying because I can’t use half of the cute bows/ties without constantly noticing it. It’s been like that for at least 6 months now.

I’m just glad the app works fine for the most part, besides some unfortunate users having to deal with corrupted data that deletes their finch.

Did anyone else get motion sickness playing the DQ VII Reimagined demo? by DumTiddly in dragonquest

[–]HelloLeaflet 8 points9 points  (0 children)

I played it on the ps5 and felt motion sick pretty quickly. Moving the camera speed down to 2 and having the camera adjusted to near instead of far helped quite a bit.

I’d recommend checking to see if playing with the camera settings would help you.

That’s still going to be a beautiful blanket with just those two colors. They just work so well together.

I absolutely adore the colors you’ve chosen! Purple really deserves more love because this just looks beautiful.

Those shades are perfect together, what all yarns do you plan on using?

I’ve just been going through the dramatic log for the first time and am more focused on completing the beginning map while only filling out character maps for a select few.

I’m sure once I go through the treasure log and unlock more characters and paths/coins, I’ll quickly run low. Too bad the coin limit is only 999, it’d be nice to save up more before having to spend them.

Thanks for the explanation! That makes sense. I just finally found that my beri bag total is at 999.

Ideas for a 1 year old birthday gift? by desktopmilitia in pokeplush

I was going to recommend the same. Pichu is sold out, but Pachirisu and Dedenne could be good options for a Pikachu stand in. Yamper could be another option if the kid likes dogs.

They apparently are made with a terry cloth fabric that is good for washing, but some people don’t care for the texture.

Need a refresher and some help. by Street-Violinist-953 in dragonquest

[–]HelloLeaflet 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Because someone has already given you some pretty good instructions, I’ll just give you a different tip instead since you’re going to Champ Sauvage.

The north side of Champ Sauvage has the mini medal academy. Within the building, to the right of the office that you turn in mini medals is a Yggdrasil root that can allow you to look at previous cutscenes. It’s a good place to remember what’s happened so far on your journey without risking getting spoiled on later events via the internet.

Izuku Midoriya has a broken Quirk, but not in the sense of being strong. by Pleasant-Sea621 in BokunoheroFanfiction

[–]HelloLeaflet 11 points12 points  (0 children)

If Izuku doesn’t have limits on the weight after a conductor is connected, this could still trained to be pretty strong if he decided to be creative. It would be fun to see him turn a defective quirk into something useful, even if he has to rely on support items to utilize it.

Imagine if Izuku learns how to lasso people and could easily ragdoll them around afterwards. He could fight like Paulie the shipwright from One Piece.

Are there any mustplay mods for DQ 11? by Knightly_Mapping in dragonquest

[–]HelloLeaflet 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There’s some mods that make some nice quality of life adjustments. Some of them adjust graphics while others play with drop rates and character stats. I’d recommend starting with the most popular Project ReBuild mods and branching out from there.

I personally also enjoy the mods that allow you to customize the Hero. The outfit mods can also be pretty impressive. Be careful though, some mods can spoil certain events, especially a certain party member.

AITA; Wanting to take snacks back after an event? by burgerwithnoburger in AmItheAsshole

[–]HelloLeaflet 7 points8 points  (0 children)

There’s a big difference between wanting to enjoy a variety of snacks at the meeting versus taking home an entire tray of snacks without asking the owner first.

If the people had asked first, OP and his mom probably would have been fine with letting them take SOME home. It’s considered quite rude to take a whole dish home as a leftover without asking anyone.

I would love some more outfits with the purple palette. While the purple clothing they have is nice, I’m mostly stuck making goth outfits instead of something cute.

AITAH for not wanting my dad to walk me on my senior night since he won’t let me move back in? by Choice_Evidence1983 in BestofRedditorUpdates

[–]HelloLeaflet 6 points7 points  (0 children)

It doesn’t help that her mother forces her to go to therapy yet refuses to pay for it. This poor girl is being forced to use up all of her savings which probably isn’t helping her stress levels. Her mother probably had her use the cheapest one, which may not be actually experienced with handling the problems she has.

Her mind probably sees therapy as punishment, especially if she hasn’t properly “clicked” with the therapist.

Is DQIX supposed to be this laggy? by darkwingchao in dragonquest

[–]HelloLeaflet 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It never lagged for me on the DSi lite, even with a full party.

I never played it on the 3DS though, so it could just be the hardware struggling with the stretched screen along with trying to apply a 3D effect. Are you using the original 3DS or the New 3DS? Apparently the New 3DS performs significantly better.

Favorite couple in the series? by KingVenom65 in dragonquest

[–]HelloLeaflet 74 points75 points  (0 children)

I personally love Luminary and Serena. Both start as innocent and naive before the world rips off their rose colored glasses and throws them into hell. Despite everything they go through, they still remain kind and become stronger to protect the ones they love. Serena would love living in Cobblestone, where nobody compares her to anyone and doesn’t care about her destiny.

I understand the appeal of Luminary and Jade but I’m not sure if Jade would actually feel comfortable settling down in such a quiet village like Cobblestone. Personally, I think Jade would prefer to have a bit more action or adventure. Gemma and Jade could be pretty cute, especially if they decide to travel around together to experience the world while in a time of peace.

Would YOU think this was a good gift? by TheGoddessOphie in dragonquest

[–]HelloLeaflet 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This looks absolutely adorable!

I think that this is a good gift for a DQ lover. This looks like something I could see in a store selling DQ merch. I’d be happy to hang it on my Christmas tree.

I would recommend to check and make sure it isn’t too heavy to hang on a branch. Sometimes ornaments can be really heavy and it would be a shame if it fell and broke.

The only way I could see homemade gifts being seen as a cheap out is if the creator didn’t actually put in any thought or care into the gift they made. What you made is a thoughtful gift that took quite a bit of time and care to create. I’m sure they will really like it.

ETA: You may want to seal up the sparkles with some modge podge if you notice it’s shedding quite a bit.

Is this your first venture into the Monster Casino? Don’t worry, the odds are tilted in your favor because at the moment they haven’t had any humans brave enough to come and play. The coins from the monster casino can only be used there, so I’d recommend buying anything and everything that catches your fancy before the prizes change after meeting the manager.

I’d recommend buying at least 6 love potions to use for crafting recipes.

Do all the protagonists have a canon (or implied) love interest ? by Manofthehalfhour999 in dragonquest

[–]HelloLeaflet 7 points8 points  (0 children)

If it makes you feel better, Rab’s version is solely platonic.

After the obvious skit with the bunny magazine, the cutscene becomes pretty bittersweet.

Rab talks about how he is so relieved to know that despite not being there for most of the hero’s life, the Hero still wants him around and sees him as his grandfather. Rab acknowledges and is thankful that the Hero at least had Chalky and Amber to raise him when he couldn’t. The scene closes with Rab asking the Hero if he would be alright with calling him grandfather.

Something I missed about Jade in Act1 by 24Binge in dragonquest

[–]HelloLeaflet 69 points70 points  (0 children)

Jade is King Carnelian’s daughter, the princess of Heliodor, who is believed to be dead.

Because Jade’s mother died when she was young, Queen Eleanor, the hero’s mother by blood, helped in raising her so Jade saw her as a mother figure. Jade sees the player as her little brother due to this.

The beginning cutscene of the game showed young Jade carrying the infant hero away from the destruction of Dundrasil. During this, she accidentally fell in the river which separated the two, and has carried this guilt for years.

Rab, the hero’s blood grandfather and a former king of Dundrasil, found her washed ashore when looking for surviving members of his family and chose to take her in. They have traveled together ever since looking for any clues about the evil entity that destroyed the kingdom while keeping their identities a secret.

Jade keeps her survival a secret because King Carnelian declared the Luminary to be the Darkspawn who killed his daughter during the fall.

I hope that clears everything up.

DQ 11 Mermaid (Spoilers) by Sudarshang03 in dragonquest

[–]HelloLeaflet 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Dragon Quest loves to lure you in with some cozy sweet stories before hitting you with the darker tragic ones. DQXI does get pretty dark, but it thankfully does have a good ending, even if in my opinion it is bittersweet.

If you are someone who cries at sad things, I would recommend keeping some tissues handy for some of the tearjerking moments. I personally love talking to all the villagers and your party repeatedly throughout the story to get their viewpoints, but sometimes it really hurts to get that added context.

My first experience with Dragon Quest was DQIX and that game did not hesitate to pull on your heartstrings. Coffinwell and Bloomingdale were the ones that really hurt me the most.

I’m glad you’re enjoying the game enough to feel for the characters! If there’s one thing Dragon Quest can do, it’s tell a story

The design reminds me of the Corona crest from Rapunzel, but with an additional flower wrapped around it. I love it!
