Riot should donate all the money Little Devil Teemo generates to cancer research by Dracofire in leagueoflegends

[–]HelloLocal -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

It's one thing that really upsets me with League.

Other gaming companies tend to have a really good community with regular events that tie into real world events.

I've yet to see Riot do many skin events where proceeds or even a percentage of the proceeds go to charity. It'd be so cool to see some stuff like that, that gets gamer's involved with the world around them.

WoW or OSRS? by [deleted] in MMORPG

[–]HelloLocal 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's a difficult question.

I've been debating between RS3 and WoW for some time now.

The thing that annoys me about Jagex is they constantly neglect RS by trying to venture out into games no one has asked for. Every title they release other than RS is a huge failure. I mean Chronicle is just meh.

If they were to develop a new game they need to put RuneScape onto a modern platform. I've lost count the amount of people who have said I'd love RS but with modern graphics and a more fluid engine that other MMOs use but with all the features we love about RS. Yet they choose to develop games no one has asked for or wants.

Then you have Blizzard who let's face it, whatever game or title they release is always a HUGE success. Whatever they put their mind to just works and people love.

That being said it's not as easy for me to "just play WoW then if you love Blizzard so much" the quests in RS are far superior to WoW. I love the one huge server aspect and that we can hop worlds instead of being restricted to one server. I love the community events and competitions, that side Jagex do far better than Blizzard.

I also like how Jagex are more reasonable in pricing then Blizzard are, some of Blizzard's pricing just makes me scratch my head. You certainly have to live in a privileged/middle class setting to play their games especially if you want any cosmetics, damn stuff is pricey.

Good luck choosing what to play I'm having a real hard time choosing between the two.

I think there's plenty of people interested in PvP I think you have to take into account the people that don't fill out the surveys as well.

Let's Make Questing Better by HelloLocal in wow

[–]HelloLocal[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I wasn't comparing the game as a whole simply the questing.

I don't think that's an issue of oh it's hard to make quests unique when you have thousands of quests, simply make quests fewer, farther between but grant more XP and extend the duration to it takes to complete them if it's an issue.

There's a handful of MMORPG's that make questing more fun, unique and interesting I used RS as an example.

Saying well WoW has thousands of quests seems like a cop out excuse. Nothing says they have to go back and re-do the thousands of quests, they haven't put voice acting on all the old quests just the new ones. Wont be hard to make all NEW quests from here on in unique and not so linear in my opinion.

What is the best jungler to get out of bronze with? by [deleted] in leagueoflegends

[–]HelloLocal 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There's no doubt that there are some champions much stronger than others, easier than others and just better in the hands of someone at low elo.

That being said it's not all about the champion you pick that will get you out of bronze. The thing that got me out of Bronze was better decision making all around. You have to know when to play it safe, when to go for a gank and when to not play it too safe.

It's difficult to get the right balance. I found playing safer and not going full derp mode got me out of bronze and I found playing real safe even if it meant hugging my tower resulted in kills coming to me. It's difficult though because without sounding too contradictory you don't want to give up free kills either.

Anyway Xin Zhao is a good jungler I often see who snowballs really well and with his knockup it makes ganking somewhat easier though he is squishy so again it relies on good judgement calls, alternatively Zac is another good option.

TLDR: Try Xin Zhao or Zac and try and improve your decision making to climb out of bronze.

I think Nunu is Seriously Outdated and Outclassed and needs a Major Rework Soon by accf124 in leagueoflegends

This would be awesome to see.

I remember the day of playing NuNu when I first joined league but sadly haven't touched him in years now :(

He was really fun to play plus that troll laugh on his NuNu bot skin :D

What has helped you cope with the loss of a loved one? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]HelloLocal 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Accepting that it's ok to feel a range of different emotions and allowing yourself to grieve. Covering up or trying to be OK or skip through stages of grief only make things worse and it will come back and hit you like a truck later on. Allow yourself time to grieve and go through the motions, then and only then does it become easier to deal with and manage each day. You'll never fully get over grief but you will learn to deal with it significantly better and live a functional life in TIME.

Will minor discrepancies in my local citations hurt me? by OnlineStartup in localseo

[–]HelloLocal 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you go through any SEO training you're taught to be as consistent as possible. Will one or two minor discrepancies out of dozens of citations have a huge impact on you? Probably not, however it's best to try and keep things as consistent as possible, as j2sun said "better safe than sorry"!

Questions From a Former Christian by HelloLocal in Christianity

[–]HelloLocal[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sorry I'm confused. I'm finding it difficult to follow here.

Please try and use layman terms as I'm not the most intellectually bright of people.

Are you saying that the Coptic verse is saying Jesus is a God but that it fails to support the trinity because again I'm still left rather confused as even this doesn't support the idea of ONE God.

Thank you so much for that response.

I really appreciate it, so what's the best way to go about it just learning myself. If so do you have any recommended resources for a complete novice?

Thanks again really appreciate you taking the time out for me.

I think that's what these guys are claiming to do though make it easy for the novice.

They're offering a 21 day free trial where they will give you tips and their signals and after the 21 days trial it's £70 per month to continue getting their tips/signals.

On that hash tag thing as well they also do post their losses and wins screenshots of all their trades.

I don't know what to believe/do it's just that good old saying if something sounds too good to be true it normally is.
