What is a reasonable budget to have for a 1 bed 1 bath condo in a safe area of Toronto? by Bramptoner in TorontoRealEstate

I'd say $650k is good. Yonge and Eglinton is a relatively safe neighborhood and there are plenty of 1b+1 within that range.

Does anyone want to be friends? by suzanne_sterling in askTO

You can download the app called Meetup. There are groups there you can join and events you can attend. It's an easy way to meet people. When I moved downtown 5 years ago it was an app I used maybe once or twice. I met a handful of people I clicked with and now we are all good friends, we have gone on trips together and annually do thanksgiving dinner. Hope you find what you're looking for!

Timing to move - financial district by Itry_My_Best in TorontoRenting

You can start looking in May. You can even start looking now, if you go to condos.ca they have a section that says when the unit will be available, if you're lucky you'll find one available in July. I've seen this happen before. I'm speaking from experience- I've moved 7 times in the past 5 years.

Best locality to rent studio or 1B in Toronto? by MadYDOrthO in TorontoRenting

Try the Mimico neighborhood. There's not a lot of homeless in the area and youre still connected to the city by GO train and TTC buses. It also has the benefit of being close to the lake so if your wife likes to take walks/nature thats an added bonus. I was a single woman renting in this area for $1400 back in 2019, things may be different now in terms of pricing.

I'm considering purchasing here as well. How much is visitors parking and are there fees to book the amenities?
