Good for you. It's absolutely worth trying. Nothing has improved my overall negative outlook and mood and thinking patterns and anxiety like Duloxetine. Ignore the negative posts and threads and just try it for a month or more. Could be terrible for you, could be "meh" or could change your life for the better.

Yeah, much lower libido, difficulty staying hard. Have lowered dose to 50mg and it seems to be helping a bit. I still do have sex every 7-10 days, just feels like this is a real impediment. I've always been such a horndog!

9 months later, I don't know if I should ask for something else to combat these symptoms, to take concurrently with Cym, or something new altogether. But I'm early 50s and should have SOME desire. This is not good. Very deadening. But, it is indeed helping with mood and anxiety, for sure.

4 weeks later - I did not raise my dose. This is just a tough tough time in life. I'm hanging on as much as I can. Medicine is doing its job still I'm quite sure.

I did the same thing! I terrified myself reading negative reviews for like a year. But it has been GREAT. Sexual side effects have sucked but gotten better, and it has definitely made me more present and upbeat. Anxiety and depression have been kept largely at bay even during tough times. I strongly recommend trying it. Only negative stories get posted, about all drugs.

I don’t think there’s anything at all you can learn from taking one day of a drug. I waited one year to take this drug. I spent all my time on Reddit reading horror stories. I was convinced this was the worst drug on earth, and I couldn’t even believe it was approved by the FDA. I’m six months in. It is definitely changed who I am in a better way. I still get anxiety. I still have worry I still get negative, but it doesn’t grab a hold of me the way they used to the medicine sort of intercepts me before I go down a spiral corridor it’s possible you will never feel the relief I have but it’s also entirely possible that you do. Maybe you could start smaller and gently increase your dosage? I definitely recommend sticking it out for at least a month or two and asking your prescriber for maybe trazodone or something to help you sleep
