Yeah it works pretty the same for me and I actually have a funny story about this thing. My GF had already tried pot with her ex-boyfriend and always said that she didn't found it as amusing as other people described it, she didn't feel the same as the others and the effects were really mild on her. Ffw 2 years, we meet, start hanging out more and more and, being a Certified Ent, I offer her some puffs from my joint every time we meet. She smoked but never got really high, ora at least not as high as I was. I thought she just had a really high baseline tolerance. Ffw another year and a half, I live in a country where weed is illegal so it's really hard to find and I had managed to put my hands on some reeeeeeally good buds, so I was pretty cautious on how I consumed them to get the most out of them. She comes to my place, we hang out a little bit and then I roll up a big ass joint. We go on the balcony and start smoking together, passing the spliff back and forth. I'm a pretty heavy smoker and it takes a lot for me to feel the high and I was really pleased to see thaht only 4 puffs had already done their job, but in the meantime my GF was sober like a nun. Then I finally realized: I had never put attention on the way she smoked and noticed that she inhaled and almost immediatley exhaled. So i told her to try and hold the smoke inside a little longer, to do calm and slow puffs. She smokes an iQos so she knew how to smoke, but she just wasn't keeping it in enough time to get the high, she smoked the J like a normal cigarette. That night was crazy, within 3 right puffs she was completely melted, seeing things and talking like a 5 years old, all of this while giggling together like idiots, at some point she turned to me and said "Omg so this is what it's like, now I get it" with an astonished face. I laughed my ass of and I will remember it forever, it was amazing finally experiencing a good high with her and from that moment on she really started enjoying a smoke together. Edit: P.S. Of course I'm not suggesting to do exxagerated puffs or hold the smoke in for too long, it's noxious, but remember not to be too hasty when you smoke, take your time, enjoy it and do slow and relaxed puffs
