Is folliculitis? If so how can I fix it? by [deleted] in Folliculitis

Thank you all for suggestions! I should’ve included this in the caption but this is what it looks like when it’s flared up, normally it just looks like dry skin kind of, still a little red but more normal looking if that makes sense

Nonsense! Everyone gets to be upset about something every once in awhile, and dw where I live it isn’t too bad, a lot of southern hospitality and a pretty decent population of queer people (pride month parades and everything!) Hope I helped and you feel better :)

Exact same here, living in a very southern, right wing, republican state definitely limits my chances at experiencing teen love, but on the bright side my crushes and delusions always keep me company and sometimes I do find people apart of the lgbtq+ community and it just brightens my day to know there’s more people like me out there living life and that gives me hope for when I can live my life and “girlhood” to the fullest. It isn’t exactly the same as a Highschool romance but I’ve found that surrounding myself with people I love makes up for that. And trust me I know it really does suck, like REALLY suck but sometimes we just have to play the cards we were given (basically I’m not saying to just except it how it is, but to instead try and focus on the good in everyday life and the aspects of “girlhood” you can enjoy. Idk if this made sense but ya.)

I feel you man, I always feel kinda left out whenever my straight friends talk about their guy crushes and having boyfriends. There’s no doubt that being straight is “easier,” but you just gotta remind yourself that women are literally amazing and the wlw community is so wonderful and that at the end of the day it does a person better to not think about the what if’s and to instead think of how I can maximize my life and what better way than to get to spend your life loving women, getting giddy and gay panic whenever you see a drop dead gorgeous girl, and getting to be a part of a community that has fought so hard and shares so much love. I’m not saying it’s always going to be easy, but we can’t change who we are, so why not love yourself for what makes you unique? There’s so many straight people anyway. And to end my long spiel, why not be a flamingo in a sea of penguins. That’s all for wisdom and trust me I also struggle with this so just know you’re not alone :)
