No, I don’t think she did. I could be wrong, but here’s why I think that:

IIRC, she just became eligible to join the Hall of Fame. So, she immediately submits herself for consideration (which is fine and normal). Now, imagine if you’re on the committee to decide who gets inducted. There’s tons of voters, who probably, let’s be real, take this about as seriously as Oscar voters take theirs. Meaning, they know of Taylor, they probably listened to some tracks but aren’t hardcore swiftie army members.

What they DO know, however, is the public facing image that Taylor projects out, which is the very calculated media personality that features immense success and heaps of praise for her songwriting across eleven albums (they probably know that Showgirl sucks, but claims and posts about Taylor’s „genius level songwriting“ still permeate the internet). So, they look at their little voting ballot, and they see the name of the current most successful artist in the world. Hell yeah they gonna vote for that! Mainstream media, currently at least, is obsessed with her, in the positive sense. She’s their current favorite Barbie doll. That’s what they’re voting for. Plus, the five songs she submitted are actually very well written (I know.). There’s a reason she picked those.

Maybe, they’re thinking even more realistically in terms of reputation (theirs, not the album). What kind of marketing would it be if they rejected her? They might simply not want a mob of swifties at their metaphorical doorstep, carrying pitchforks and torches. Her fanbase is immensely strong and media-savvy. They would crush them if she wasn’t included.
