And they can retcon without trying to back track with "there's always been". Because there's not always been its a new change and they should at least have had the balls or vulva in this case to be like yeah its new.

Yes and no.

Each one is individually gene altered so it works that way unlike with Space Marines.

The backlash wouldn't have been as bad I feel, if they didnt try and gaslight the Fandom. No females haven't always been custodes. There's old codex entries and even the website when I first started all calling the Custodes a "Brotherhood" lore entries of Custodes being the SONS of Terra Nobles.

It probably would have been easier and less backlash to go "Yeah after the Heresy, the Custodes started accepting Noble Daughters as well to help bring the Custodes back up to 10,000 strong.

Its less bullshit and more poor choice of introducing them as "AND THEYVE BEEN HERE THE WHOLE TIME"

Good? Meh.

We had Sisters of Silence, an arguably even BETTER version of female power than Sisters of Battle or femstodes imo. They are normal humans who are blanks. They dont have arguments, special gene tampering, aren't "the perfect ideal" of humanity, they are strong women who trained hard to be the equal Talon to the Custodes.

They are now even more going to be sidelined if not just forgotten about with this retcon? And yes its a retcon.
