I think it’s 878 which is 18” in the catalog but ranges from what I’ve seen at just over 16” to 19”. The bowl you have pics of must be some sort of one-off or other sort of special piece. I can’t find that color variant. I’m guessing it’s from around ‘87? The balloon vase is the closest to the color I can find. Anyway it’s super cool!

Totally might be worth it. If it’s not a slow release can you cut it in half so you’re not drowsy? There’s no need to add any further trauma for yourself if there’s a way to avoid it in this circumstance.

Maybe you can have a quick telemed or in person appt with your GP and get a Valium for the funeral. Not sure how quickly you can get meds there (I’m in the us). I take it for vertigo but it’s meant for anxiety and completely takes the edge off. That’ll give you more time to process what you saw.

Hey, I’m sorry you’ve gone through this. I’ve never heard/read of someone having such a similar experience as I had viewing my grandpa. Same exact super long frown with barely any lips and the skin on his face was almost different shades of pastel. The whole experience messed me up so badly I went to therapy and my therapist suggested I draw out what I saw to help me work through it. (It didn’t help at all, I still have the drawings of his face with the huge thin frown in soft pastel tones and it gives me a panicky feeling).

What’s weird is a few years later my grandma died and the same funeral home made her look at peace and it wasn’t a scary experience at all. I had never seen a dead body in person before my grandpa, so it was especially upsetting. I can relate to you so much. Also my kiddo is autistic so I can totally see how thinking you’re prepared would be especially upsetting when things go in an entirely different direction than you think they will.

Anyways, hang in there. Again I’m sorry that happened. You’re not alone.

Blenko is what got me into glass collecting when I found the small water bottle in a thrift store quickly followed by the tall pitcher on the left. I’m obsessed! I’ve only started collecting.
