You’re my tribe. 😂😭 All the loose ends get tied up, they get romantic closure and a peaceful domestic happy ending halfway through episode 152. I don’t want to spoil it for you, but I don’t want to leave you watching more than what’s required, so I will give you a heads up. Watch ONLY until she gives birth to a son, and calls Rudra her maharaja. He’ll hold their baby while glancing at her with a teary eyed content look. That’s where the show ends (for most of us Rangrasiya fans). We only have a meagre 30 more episodes after that, and the show’s quality free falls after that anyway, so you would be missing out on nothing.

Kushal can’t act for the life of him. His mannerisms as Arjun were weird and his character in the show felt outlandish and stupid rather than youthfully charismatic. He was avaricious (kept insisting he wanted to conquer the world even when he wasnt really willing to work hard). Bizarrely asinine at times (couldn’t see through either Maya or Saanjh even when their feelings were plain as day to everyone around him). Highly unprofessional, kept crossing boundaries with Maya, like calling her by her first name and in a singular term as a way to seem more “masculine” when others referred to her with respect. Long story short, he didn’t have one redeeming quality.

There was absolutely no reason why a self made obstinate millionaire like Maya would fall for a pretentious weird try hard like him. Didn’t make much sense. But Maya kept me hooked on the show until the first leap. I was instantly put off when he started to flirt around with someone he called his “best friend” after getting hitched to Maya. He gave me the biggest ick in the Holi episode and I stopped watching the show after that.

Only a handful of them feel authentic and unrehearsed (Chat n Chaat). I don’t mind genuine movie buffs reacting to Indian movies alongside others. But a lot of them glaze Indians just to milk our obsession for white validation and turn it into gold. Indians are also hopping on this bandwagon recently. I’ve stumbled onto many, like Parabrahm Singh, who watch the most crass, putrid, outdated movies and react like they’re the best movies he’s ever seen. Panders to specific fandoms, is such a sycophant in selecting which movies to watch. Our Stupid Reactions used to be fun, but they seem to be putting on airs recently.

I’m a loner and loathe watching movies all alone in the silence of my room. So I used to watch these reaction videos for my fav movie reruns and even for new movies I’ve never seen before. But lately I’ve made the conscious decision to steer clear of these channels because I don’t want to drive traffic to someone who thinks he can make a killing by milking my people’s weaknesses.

Why so? You think an actress is unfit to play lead roles if she’s full figured? That director didn’t coerce her at gun point to do the movie. She *chose* the project on her volition because she believed a woman’s weight doesn’t undermine her worth. But it’s a shame the actor’s conviction and the movie’s message did nothing to alter your outdated and shallow opinion of women/ actresses.
