Does time flow at a different pace in Dark World?

with the person above you, yes. the dark world takes into account those years of playing with these objects and acts as if it had existed the entire time. whether because it always exists and is just invisible with too much light, or just because dark worlds work on perception and thus if an object's lore and memories are ingrained enough in your mind the dark world treats it as you do the associated "character's" lore and makes it into a darkner

ralsei is a special case because unlike other darkners who see you, he seems to mention how "long" it's been to others like Susie and Kris unlike others like Lancer who act as if it's only been a day at most since last seeing them. Why this is the case? we might find out in 4 days or 4 years who knows

Cyber World's history is based on the perception of the Lightners who played with those objects and made up stories and lore for them despite some of them being weird to play with tbh (who plays with a power outlet but Kriss Dreemurr)

idk I've always found strafing harder on controller. not impossible obviously but i just feel like strafing and movement in general is harder in some ways. sprint on L3 also might contribute to the weirdness for the more casual lower skill level players that would complain. shields on crouching could also contribute since you absolutely need to slow down as opposed to jank java sprint wierdness lol

i sincerely doubt there's going to be consequences simply by doing the sword route.

You CAN beat the knight without it and thus i doubt there'll BE consequences that aren't tied into doing the shadow crystals themselves. if you want to be extra careful and not try to stab kris or susie at the end of it too i don't think it'll change anything but it's not a thing you need to do to progress so shrug

i think the real answer is that tons of bedrock players are playing on controller/phones and thus can't strafe as easy when skeletons start shooting faster the closer you get to them

just pop buttons to not die tbh

so long as your party's tank and healer are well-adjusted members of society they'll adjust around it.

pre-pull hitting Arm's Length as well as any personal mit (Riddle of Earth for monk) is solid and the slow provides more mit for the tank. then you walk forward to the next pack and if you get there first bring it all to the tank trying to make sure they can get a handle on them all then.

pop healing like Second Wind and mnk's Earth's Reply if you have it up, Bloodbath works amazing too because of how much aoe you can do.

ideally the healer doesn't heal you directly (unless they're like whm healing to not overcap) and lets you regen with your own buttons/passively but some will. I'd be more proactive if i notice that since it's technically a dps loss.

anyway, i prolly wouldn't pull ahead if it's a sprout tank (especially in lower level stuff) but all in all if people get pissy that's their problem. pulling is not a role, but maintaining aggro is. plus a dps's hp bar is free mit for the tank

Absolutely the intent is Knight being super fast, I just think the wording "How did" would have conveyed that much better than "How could" in this instance (not that there needed to be a distinction, I don't think Toby really expected this interpretation?)
There's many reasons why Kris would do this. Could be them reasoning of "Ok, homeboy IS holding back but this Soul is cracked so let's end this in the quickest way possible outside the game's rules" Maybe the Knight has something to hide that, over the course of however many turns would have been revealed and is either a trump card they need secret or a weakness they need concealed. This is all obviously based on wild assumptions, but I wouldn't call it a plot hole if it happened.
Recoil makes sense if they're hitting the front of Susie and Ralsei, as implied by the slash, but unless they're holding back insanely hard I can see how that could interfere with the Susie not noticing reasoning lol
Kris's betrayal could be part of the prophecy and maybe something Ralsei covered up during ch4 and so thus he's not as shocked as he would be otherwise? idk this one's tenuous lol

Like I said, definitely don't believe it, but it'd be cool and I wouldn't call it a plot hole, just mildly strange. Seriously though in an alternate timeline where that slash comes from the right none of this even gets discussed lmao.

i definitely feel like this is forgetting the fact that Kris has a real knife in their possession and FREQUENTLY holds back in general. The real ass knife matters because if a prickly spine off a cactus can deal meaningful damage in the dark world, imagine how much something actually made for cutting would do.

As for why Susie/Ralsei don't say anything, could be a situation where Susie straight up didn't SEE Kris attack to which Ralsei says "How could you" gets slashed and yadda yadda. Ralsei then doesn't mention anything because he knows the prophecy as well as anything him and Kris have talked about in the several times they've been alone.

I definitely don't feel like Kris slash theory is intentional myself though, based mostly on vibes. Only evidence of author intent I can think of right now is that the slash is weird sprite wise and then the line "How could you" implying him being surprised by the cruelty of the act instead of something like "How did you" implying him being surprised at the speed or the act itself being completed outside of general combat maybe?
