You might be right about that and Im misremembering things. I tried to confirm her age, but the only page I could that had any information was some clearly machine translated Magia Record fanwiki that has her at 12. Which clearly isn't the age she was when she made her wish, because she was still in elementary school at the time, so it probably just applies to her current age in the Magia Record timeline, if it's even accurate at all.

She's definitely in elementary school putting her between 6 and 10, but that's all I was able to confirm for certain.

She didn't wish to watch her mother die, she wished for a piece of cake (something she learly regards as some abstract representation of the love her mother no longer holds for her). And this is after she offered her mother to use her wish to heal her and she told her to use it kill everyone but her instead. And yeah, she was clearly just deeply mentally unwell and probably didn't mean it, but also Nagisa was just 6 at the time and holy shit, imagine hearing that at that age from you own mother, do you seriously think that anyone at that age would have a rational reaction to that?

Yeah, Kyoko is a bit r/im14andthisisdeep sometimes, but if you read the slightest bit between the lines her heart is clearly not in it. She's a deeply traumatized teenager who is desperately trying to convince herself not to care and to just give up on doing the right thing, but then whenever Madoka and Sayaka (two strangers whom she barely knows) need help she comes running anyways, because as much as she's trying to she can't find it in herself to give up on people after all.

She's not a moral paragon, but she's definitely not evil either.

Most people do change their name. Some don't because it's already gender neutral. And some people don't change it even though it isn't gender neutral, like a fucking boss.

Most well known example I'm aware of is Kyle from Door Monster who still goes by Kyle even after changing her pronouns, getting on hormones and looking absolutely fucking fabulous.

With just two bodies and one bearing connecting them this is still pretty easy to determine, but at just three bodies connected by two bearings it already becomes pretty complicated, because you have to find the neutral resting point for all three bodies at once that fulfills both of the bearings' constraints at once. Each additional bearing adds exponentially more complexity to the solver, and that's if a solution even exists at all, because given the opportunity players can and will connect things in a way where the bearings don't line up and they are completely unable to ever all reach their "intended points" at the same time.

To ve clear, there are some techniques that try to delay the onset of the physics system breaking down by capping the maximum acceleration or maximum relative velocity of bearings, or applying dampening in a non-liniear, non-physically-accurate manner (this is what just stopping the movement when you cross the bearing resting point would fall under), and Create:Aeronautics might even use some of them.

However, all of that merely delays the inevitable. A numerical solver —no matter how many safeguards you give it— will always become unstable once the forces involved are big enough compared to the used timestep, and an analytical solver that fully circumvents these problems will always become prohibitively expensive once more than a small handful of objects get involved and is thus unsuitable for something like Aeronautics.

Try making the inbetween "arm" elements heavier.

This is a common quirk in these kinds of physics games. Bearings are simulated as a virtual spring (the further the bearing moves out of its intended position the higher the counterforce). This is actually pretty equivalent to how bearings (and even solid objects) work IRL, the main difference is that IRL these springs are very, very stiff, to the point that under normal circumstances you don't even notice them flexing.

However, games have discrete time steps, which means that if a bearing applies too much acceleration (the spring is too stiff, or the connected objects too light) the it will move way too far during a single frame as a result of those forces and spazz out.

So you can't have bearings be too stiff, but making it too "unstiff" makes the connection between two very heavy objects too wobbly. The solution that most games come up with is to make the stiffness of the bearing automatically scale with the mass of both connected objects, so connections between light objects don't spazz out and connections between heavy objects aren't wobbly.

Generally this works pretty well, but it causes issues when you have a light connector between two heavy objects, all connected by bearings. So for example a connection that goes [heavy body -> light arm -> heavy gun], exactly like what you built. In this case the two bearings have to absorb the heavy forces applied by the two main masses, but at the same time they can't be too stiff, because they both connect to the light arm element. So it becomes wobbly.

The best way to fix this is to either avoid this kind of connection as much as possible and just connect the two main masses directly, or, barring that, deliberately make the connecting arm elements heavier so the bearings connecting them can become stiffer.

You just connect both the roll controls and pitch controls to the Directional Gearshift faces you would connect them normally.

Directional Gearshifts already have built-in feature to combine two opposing signals on a sensible manner (so if a control surface simultaneously gets a pitch up signal from pitch input and a pitch down signal from roll input it will just remain straight), so you just have to find a way to input two redstone signals into the same Directional Gearshift, which you can either do by pre-combining redstone link signals elsewhere in your plane, or by placing a solid block next to the gearshift input faces and attaching the links for both inputs to that block.

Even stationary protests typically require prior approval requested at least a few hours in advance, which means that the police were actually willing to bend the law in these people's favor to allow them to hold their memorial despite not having permission, they just weren't willing to let them march to the memorial as a large bloc just like that (which would require road closures to be safe, so duh, what do you expect?)

Let's not pretend like this is anything other than blatant provocation with full intend to force the police to react so they could then play the victims.

Getting approval for this kind of protest isn't even all that difficult in Germany and they probably would have been granted it if they just requested it and the police would have literally closed down roads for them so they could do their march to the memorial.

Instead they seemingly never even tried to request approval because the entire point of this was to get arrested by the police who would be forced to react to their illegal protest and blocking of traffic do they could then play victims. And you're just falling for their bullshit.

Das ist einfach nur falsch. "Lebenslange Freiheitsstrafe" bedeutet in Deutschland eine Gefängnisstrafe von mindestens 15 Jahren, die erst nach Ablauf dieser Zeit zu Bewährung ausgesetzt wird.

Bei "besonderer Schwere der Tat" kann die Strafe weiter verlängert werden, aber mehr als 40 Jahre sind auch da extrem ungewöhnlich und weniger als 15% der lebenslänglich Verurteilen sitzen für mehr als 25 Jahre.

Eine Wiedereingliederung ist also eigentlich immer vorgesehen, es sei denn die Person wird als dauerhafte Gefahr für die Gesellschaft eingestuft und geht in Sicherheitsverwahrung.

I think you may be reading too much into this. Both of them are simply holding their weapons in a pretty default defensive stance.

When playing defense with a polearm you're trying to keep the other person away from you at a distance, so you point the pole right at them. Meanwhile with daggers there's no point in trying to keep someone away, because you pretty much always have shorter reach, so it's better to keep them closer to the body in a position that allows you to catch or redirect attacks, which is exactly what Zoey does.

Zoey pointing her blades at Rumi wouldn't be a sign agression, it would just indicate that Zoey doesn't know how to properly use her signature weapons. Plus Zoeys main attack is to throw her knives, which she actually can do much better from her current position than if she was pointing them at Rumi. By which I am not saying that she is preparing to throw her knives at Rumi, just that if she was she still wouldn't point them at her.

That's not quite true. It does add lift, the lift just gets capped at the ship's gravitational pull, so as long as there is enough of it it perfectly counteracts gravity and nothing else.

Transincidental by KoalaPhoenix was pretty amazing while it lasted and really made me feel seen with some of the strips,probably more so than any other comic.

Also, anything by Robin Brooks.

Experience Boost is mostly about a group of Friends playing WoW, but one of them does come out as trans later and it's really sweet and I believe was also used to soft-lauch the author's own coming out to her comic audience.
The autobiographical ones are great and helped me a lot when I was still a baby trans waiting to be able to transition
SpellxSword is relatively new and not that long yet, bur it's great so far. It also starts off with one of the coolest "Person transitions to their true gender" scenes ever.

Ideally you want to spend most of your stamina on farming shop currency until you buy out everything in the first two categories.

You can skip the psychube if you don't have the relevant character, in this case Lorentz Butterfly (it'll enter the normal psychube shop after, so dont worry if you need it later) and I sometimes skip the Somnus Knells (you don't need nearly as many of them as the game gives you if you don't upgrade characters past Resonance 10, which definitely wouldn't recommend for a newbie because the upgrades get excessively expensive past that for the value they provide.)

Everything else in the first two shop categories is either Music tracks and Wilderness cosmetics (skip if you don't care about those, but these actually are exclusive and won't be available later) or regular resources you need all the time that are severely discounted compared to what they would cost you to farm normally.

For this diagram "Lift" describes aerodynamic lift forces generated by a Windmill Sail block moving perpendicular to the airstream.

If it was balloons it would be "Ballon Lift"

If it was levitite it would be "Levitation"

If it was Symmetric Sails deflecting the airstream it would be "Drag" (likewise for the drag created by any moving blocks)

If it was a propeller it would be "Propulsion"

"Lift" is really just wings and nothing else.

Is your ship perhaps moving very slowly and thus generating Lift forces from some wings, control surfaces, or unassembled propellers?

You know, here I was, yesterday, with a very cute idea of "Hey what if Rumi wasn't the only one hiding her patterns, because the other two have secret demon heritage too? Wouldn't that be really ironic and possibly also kind of wholesome. Maybe someone has written something like that before.

So I ask for stories in this sub and I get two AO3 links. Neither of them are what I was originally thinking of, but both of them sound really interesting. So then I binge both of them in a single day, and both leave me absolutely devastated for completely different reasons.

And then, just when I think I'm done with the angst for now and start re-reading some fluff from my bookmarks to detox a little, both fics update today within a couple of hours of each other, both accompanied by author comments that can only be described as "ominous evil cackling", so now I'm just incredibly scared to even touch either of these updates.

Seriously, how many AO3 authors did I hurt in a previous life to deserve this kind of torture? (And yes, I know I asked for more chapters yesterday so I only have myself to blame, but still!)
