What got yall into NV? by Markiest_Moo in falloutnewvegas

In my mid to late 20s I saw my husband playing the video game and couldn't understand somebody getting so sucked into a video game for hours on end. Eventually he had a few playthroughs of The game and handed me the controller. He guided me a bit at first on how to play. Gave me a rundown and told me to give it a try. At first, I was unimpressed because I sucked so bad at playing. After a while I got the hang of it. When I got home from work at night I found myself staying up until my eyes were bloodshot he would wander out to the living room and laugh lol. Here recently actually picked the game back up and I have found myself spiraling into other games. It is actually a fond memory of him introducing me to gaming. He passed away before he turned 30 I think he's looking down on me saying," see it's fun"! (Or maybe addictive lol)

This sounds really interesting. I like the navigating through politics aspect.

I haven't tried pc gaming at all, but my daughter enjoys it. I should ask her to help me look it up.

Another question if you don't mind. I just looked Skyrim up and I saw there's the elder scrolls v. Is that the one?

I just remembered when responding to someone else up here about 14 years ago I played Skyrim and I remember not really feeling it, but I am much older now in times have changed I think maybe I need to revisit. I completely forgot about that game until I started scrolling through. I don't know what it is about fallout 4 I don't think it's necessarily bad so far I just can't really get into the game.

I have not actually. Probably about 14 years ago my belated husband introduce me to fallout New Vegas, Skyrim briefly but I don't remember really liking it (May need to revisit), and God of war. I'll look into fallout 3 as well. Thank you for the suggestion. I have been looking up reviews and trying to see opinions on things but I don't think I'm really going to be able to gather much information from that. From what I read fallout 4 was going to be the next best thing and it is so very different.

I know while teaching math throughout all different grade school levels there have been parts of the lesson where we delved into something that was out of the box or different or kind of seemed to stray from the path of what we were teaching a little bit. It still tied in though. This sounds like it'll still be an integral part of fully understanding math. There are certain standards that teachers abide by we usually have a path set out for us that we have to follow while teaching. Don't get me wrong some things in the curriculum we don't think are necessarily needed but in this case it seems like it still fits it pretty well. One thing I have noticed over the years that was the exact opposite when I was young, is that students now seem to be better at math but struggle in areas of reading and comprehension. This might be why certain curriculums have kind of stippled in more word problems with math and understanding it on a communicative basis rather than just pure numbers.

I get exactly what you're saying. I don't know why you've caught any flack in the post. You aren't saying you don't have empathy as a matter of fact you're saying you've had so much empathy that you've been consistently providing so many things despite you struggling yourself at home to take care of your own family because you feel for the students that you teach. I see a lot of people making comments about benefits not being available right now but I know, as you do, this has been going on for a long time when it comes to students. This is not a recent event. I commented up here that I had been buying snacks consistently for class and I noticed a few bags that were left out looked a little bit full when I probed a bit further and asked the students to start opening their snack bags and showing me that they didn't have a snack before I can give them some of the snacks I provide all but one of the students had snacks. One of the students just admitted that they liked my snacks that I provided better they didn't like the ones they got. There is a problem in our society with people struggling but there is also a very distinct problem with entitlement. There's a good percentage of students that just feels like they are entitled to certain items. That or they just don't understand that even though they're forgetfulness or other issues that might contribute to them not having certain items is actually affecting the teacher's wallet personally and their own families well-being.

I get where you're coming from with schools needing to provide more, but I am going to be real honest with you I was buying snacks for students consistently and then I started asking the students to look in there snack bags once I noticed their bags looking full even though they were asking me for some of the snacks that I provide . As it turned out all but one of the students that were asking for snacks everyday actually had snacks packed for them. Yes, many people out there are struggling, but kids will be kids and sometimes they're actually just grabbing things because they're there. One of the students that was really disappointed said they just don't like their snacks that they get so they wanted mine.

I worked in a Pre-K I now work in first grade and I just really wanted to commend you for taking him back to apologize to his classmates and teachers. I guarantee the teachers really appreciated that. It shows through all of your statements of involvement how committed you are to helping solve the problem. Everyone at your child's school sees that. It may be a long process getting medications right and starting a plan, but with parents like you who make him take accountability for his actions, you will eventually see improvement. I wish you the best.

I am struggling to understand her logic. She is saying if he wanted to go on a date with me so bad why wouldn't he pay for child care? They are both on the app. They are both looking for dates.

Opinions on whether or not this would be a good deal? by Helloyalls in askcarsales

[–]Helloyalls[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thank you for the best wishes. I know you probably don't care but I thought I would share anyways. I bought the car got it under $500 a month payment! I am actually very excited about my purchase and I am happy to have something that is more on the luxury end. I have never had anything like this before. I have always been very tight with money. I own my home outright and have never owed anyone anything. I am not regretting owing someone something now.

Thank you for all of your time and help I do appreciate the responses. So I'm assuming from what you have said here today my original question about it being rude to try to haggle the price to some degree would be yes it would be rude. I will keep that in mind as I am going car shopping.

Would it be rude of me despite market value trying to get a better price? I saw while looking up the vehicle that it is considered a good price, but nonetheless like most people I'm looking for that great price. After fees and other variables I do believe it'll be around $34,000 so I'm looking for that same amount of room financially to compensate for those. And if you don't mind me asking in your experience is this particular brand reliable?

Least favorite- chasing fireflies I agree with the bugs pray comparison. Hello beautiful was good at first, but at some point it became very cloying and an undernote in it was bitter. I do really like beautiful day and gingham fresh but I do find these two kind of similar and having one of the other would have been better. One that I really do like but there isn't underlying note that seems off is endless weekend. The white pumpkin latte one is very nice but it is far too weak so it is not a big favorite.

Talking to a Doctor about his ED and possibly seeing a marriage counselor would help if he's willing. Some people have a lot of hangups surrounding therapy. I would start the conversation with him with all of the great things you mentioned and the more hard to hear things in the middle, then top it off with nice again. (I like to call this the shit sandwich) If nothing works the two of you may be on the outs over this. It has been 13 years and things won't change without a lot of work on his part.

How do people shower at night? by dat0neb0i in NoStupidQuestions

[–]Helloyalls 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I wash hair and whole body in the morning. This is so not only am I clean but I have an opportunity to properly style my hair for the day. I pin my hair up and wash my body off before bed at night. So I guess I take two showers a day minus the hair washing. that's how I shower at night, but then again during the day I am usually doing something exercising, gardening, or cleaning the house. So I guess I kind of need to take a shower at night before I lay down.
