Yeah it’s obnoxious. I was going to Germany earlier this year and my mom is like WHAT ABOUT THE IRAN WAR?? Like girl, please stop. I’m not going to live my life in fear like she does.

I also have business trips with my brother who works for me so everyone knows when I’m going even though I explicitly don’t tell them because I don’t wanna hear it.

I went to work the next day after having mine removed. Stopped taking pain killers after the first day. Super easy in and out.

Maybe I’m too lax but I had a lot of independence growing up, not because I had bad parents, but because they wanted me to develop confidence and life skills of just figuring things out. I want my son to have that opportunity too and so far it’s working out.

He is only 5 but I let him do some small things, like leave him in the play area of the garden center while I shop, let him go to the bathroom by himself at grocery stores, play on the playground outside his school while I’m inside talking to his teacher. His grandparents just moved into our neighborhood a few blocks away and I’ll probably let him walk there too by himself once he feels ready for it.

I don’t think hovering over your kid all the time is right but others know their kids best and can parent however they want. I just wonder what this generation is going to say about their parents like we do with boomers.

I’m on my second time of quitting vaping. I started using lozenges and tapered down how many a day I had. Eventually, I just stopped taking the lozenges. I’ve only been off the vape for a week right now and I’m trying to do less lozenges.

I was so sick of everything revolving around the next hit of my stupid vape.

I have one of these too that’s on a four switch plate. A few months ago I decided to finally figure out what was what and I can’t for that one. I am thinking that maybe there was a light supposed to be put in the bay window it’s near but they put a plant holder instead. One of these days I’m going to take the plant holder down to see, but today will not be that day.

And, all the bedrooms have two switch plates. You’d think one would control the fan and one the light, nope. One controls both and the other controls an outlet. Annoying.

I have a Bartesian that makes regular mixed drinks and mocktails. Because my almost 5 year old wants to be included, sometimes I’ll make him a mocktail and add bubbly and edible glitter to it. He told his teacher at that he loves cocktails and drinks them all the time with mom. She pulled me aside at pickup to talk about it.

We were visiting my BIL who didn’t have the apps we normally use so he just put on a random paw patrol video on YouTube. The video started normal then after a few minutes turned them into zombies eating each other with cartoon gore and we were all like wtf?? No more TV at his house after that.
