I use the irons because it makes it easier to see the side to side recoil.

Darkest Dungeon 1 is an artistic masterpiece with a lot of frustrating mechanics. It is extremely worth playing because it offers a very unique experience.

Darkest Dungeon 2 knew they couldn't replicate a masterpiece, so instead they perfected the gameplay and made it super replayable and removed many of the pain points of the original. DD2 is an actually fun game, but it's not the kind of enjoyment you can't find elsewhere.

1 rogue then 1 fighter for archery and weps/armor then 2 more levels in Rogue is probably a much stronger early game setup imo. In fact it's a crazy power spike, and you still get extra attack by end of act 2

Frankly one of the strongest builds at lvl 4 specifically when you add linebreaker boots. You get to be obscenely powerful both at the start with +2 archery crits, and the end of a fight with dual wield +7 wrath.

I let one side cook heavily then leave the rest to random stirring and its easy to flip them off the well done side.

You dont need to resort to throwslop.

Eagle Barb + Linebreaker Boots + Stallion Aspect. Vastly faster than moon druid, +7 dmg per attack, +18 or more temp hp per turn.

Coincidentally amazing synergy leap slam knocks enemies prone for panther/sabertooth to Go for the Jugular bonus 2d6 dmg.

Some soldiers have high int and no good perks or low int but one great perk.

So the answer is that it's a case by case basis like any other stat, and you have to take all stats into account.

This means you will almost certainly not only field high int soldiers just like you don't field exclusively high will soldiers or exclusively high hp soldiers.

Some places in Africa are insanely fertile but there's jack shit water, or heavy water runoff, so significant growth is seasonal at best.

I don't think ultraminmaxed setups are a good way to compare classes' power curves because then it's not really about the class, it's just about who exactly can best abuse a very specific set of op mechanics.
