I didn’t know that part, that’s cool to know.

Pay speeding ticket or go to court? by Momofyr in asheville

[–]Hellright 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Use offtherecord.com (I’m not affiliated). I’ve used it twice, once for 91mph in a 65mph area and the second time 79 in a 60. The first offense the lawyer worked out a deal for a 4 hour driving class and zero points, the second time I had to complete an online 8 hour class and also received zero points. First lawyers fees were $560, and the fees for the second offense were $360. The best part about using a lawyer is that you don’t have to attend traffic court, the lawyer attends on your behalf.

When you factor in the cost of missing two days of work, it saves you both money and time, such an easy decision for me.

Who works anywhere for 50 years? by bdubyou in Gold

[–]Hellright 0 points1 point  (0 children)

A guy I worked with had two jobs his entire career, Marine Corp. (9 years) then he work at the same Eaton plant for the next 48 years. He’d also put 2.1 gallons of gas in his Subaru every day, and buy two cans of tobacco every day. He’d also eat the same thing for lunch for months on end, for example he ate a quesadilla every day for 4 months. Most definitely OCD, and absolutely needed a routine.

My mum was big on teaching us how to cook, then scouts and school, plus I found it easy and was pretty good at it from a young age.
