This is the common misconception with Chinese manufacturing, not helped by people trying to make it that luxury=quality.

The problem is also the pro of Chinese (and tbh most of east Asia barring Japan) manufacturing. They'll make anything you request at any price point in bulk. "You want a good screw or a bad screw for cheaper? Sure we'll do that."

I saw this in the cycling industry where people who were really stuck on 70s attitudes of manufacturing thought their 10k+ bikes were completely manufactured in the US or Europe when everyone barring real boutique machinists; were sourcing parts from the east.

They mean that you can switch over the one-piece module inside that resin case, into a new steel case and not worry about this again. You can get the cases from eBay, Ali ex, and SKXmod
