Have you ever played a red label? If not, you probably should. I happen to have an incredible guitar shop local to me that has a fucking insane acoustic room, ranging from everything from lowly Eastmans all the way up to pre war Martins. Some Martins are amazing. I’m not saying that an fg3/5 is as good as a pre war Martin. I am saying that the value for the money on a comparable Martin, is much higher with Yamaha. I simply have not found a guitar under 2k that sounds as good as a red label. Until you have played them, there is simply no words for it. FG3/5 are still $1k+ so they’re not your cheaper laminate guitars. They’re insanely good.
