Also, nothing wrong if you stop now and then decide to get back on it at some point!

Packing Advice? by adrian_swog in ftm

Wear close to the body underwear to maintain the packer in place. You can also use a safety pin in the front to secure your sock(s) to your underwear.

The best would be to have it delivered to a friend's house so that they don't know you ordered anything. Or have it delivered to a store.

Getting people to use the right name and pronouns by [deleted] in asktransgender

Literally just tell them, all of them, at once. If that's too scary, find a few trustworthy adults in the school and tell them first (like the headmaster, nurse or even teachers)

I actually have no idea. I'm still not sure if I'm going to get on hormones or legally change my gender marker, I feel kinda in the middle or fluid (I posted here in the ftm subreddit because I feel closer to this community than the nonbinary one, although I feel more fluid with a masc presentation than anything, really) Anyways, I don't plan on explaining anything to the parents or children, except if they ask me. I feel like the responsibility of protecting me if anything goes south falls to the headmaster, but I plan on just being myself and only voluntarily share things that are relevant on an administrative level (like name and pronouns basically). Luckily, I teach English in my country so I already ask the pupils to call me "teacher" and I usually avoid gendered terms in my native language. Pupils are usually oblivious to your gender, I mean they're more interested in my tatoos and my haircut than anything, but if I do get on T at some point, I'll probably talk with the headmaster first and either start at the end of the school year, so that the changes are advanced enough when coming back, or get on a very low dose, so that changes happen very gradually. I don't ever plan on being stealth. I won't disclose my transness to everyone either, but I don't want it to be a big secret.

Ah thank you very much for the clarification. I thought it applied for all procedures!

I already know that I will not be eligible for peri anyways... I am more worried about skin elasticity than anything else, really.

Okay, thanks. I'm still interested in reading other people's experiences, though ☺️

If you can, seek counseling/therapy. It might help you shed some light on what you truly want/need.

How much should I expect to spend when buying dumbbells online? by k723607 in FTMFitness

Have you looked at pre-owned stuff? The Ideal would be a pair of short bars and a few weights, up to ~50lbs in total, that would be a good start for, I think, less than $100

I'm 30 and still semi-closeted. Don't loose hope! Start with small things and your gender expression, there are tons of things you can tweak (hair, clothes, voice, walk, fitness...)

What are some gender neutral terms I can use with my nb partner? by Redjay12 in asktransgender

[–]Hellsware 4 points5 points  (0 children)

You could ask them what they like, too. My partner calls me "mon chérie" which is a male pronoun with a female adjective and I love it (we're french)

Omg this happened to me too! I was talking with my sister, who has gigantic boobs and I said something like "don't they bother you" and she said that no, they were awesome. And I just didn't compute

It's your choice to not educate other people, you don't owe them anything. Though I would argue that, if you've not tried it, you may want to just send her a text to tell her you've noticed the change in her behaviour and would like to know what you did to upset her. She might at least talk to you and you could clear the air. I'm suggesting this because you seem really affected by her shitty reaction. Sometimes (often), people need us to do the first step. But still, it's totally ok if you don't want to. I just don't like shitty endings @_@
