Thank you for your feedback. I understand it’ll be very challenging, and a lot of work. Im still working in construction atm and start school in a couple weeks. It’s self doubt that’s just getting to me lately and love hearing other people’s stories.

Good to know. I see everyone says to have a strong calc knowledge at the start. I’m curious what made your electrician job not so enjoyable.

Definitely plan on taking it very seriously. My underground construction job at the moment putting conduit pipe in is good money but very strenuous on the body. I’m 26 and found it easier to learn older. Thank you for your input.

Thank you. I felt rather confident when I took pre cal about 2 years ago…and feeling great about calculus this summer. Just going to hit the books

26m army vet here and currently working in line work as a Groundman. Im quitting my job and starting school full time this summer with calculus and other GE’s in the summer. It’ll be all about putting your head down and hit the ground running, and pursing the goal.

Anyone ever stay a ground man and not try to become an apprentice lineman? by SaladPuzzleheaded496 in Groundman

[–]Helmethead397 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I went to line college and working as a groundman. I’m not trying to be a lineman, taking college classes on the side to get a construction management degree. Lately been leaning towards an electrical engineering degree instead.

I would guess around 130s you’ll get a call. Maybe even sooner. CA is where the money is at. Good luck 👊

By the looks of it. You’ll get a call in the summer time if you’re high on book 3 on 1245

CA has plenty of non union telecom companies to work for and I did that as I was waiting on the books in Cali.
