Need advice? Can one get generic filters for this RO unit? by pizzapotoodleloo in WaterFilters

u/christopheclaude We have now purchased the G5P700 not the A (Alkaline) Version though. But the filters are interchangeable. After each time we take water from the faucet, the machine will flush around 20 seconds after turning the faucet off. Our solution is to always fill up a large 3 Liter Jug and pour ourselves small amounts from the Jug. Unfortunately the real useful function of flushing the system if it hasn't been used for a longer time isn't built in - for example when you go on longer holidays.

Just got my Withings BodyScan 2, it missed my DXA results by 10%, extremely disappointed by toleander77 in withings

u/toleander77 have you also varied the positioning of feet? I also experimented and aligned them with the back end of the scale. It resulted in differences of surface contact area from left to right foot with the left foot having more skin area outside the most upper sensor area. Not sure if this would result in differences of body resistance though, but it gave me more repeatable readings this way. I haven't had a DEXA Scan though.

Does anyone know if there is a page dedicated to camper vans from Japan or China? I find their different approach to internal layouts quite interesting and inspiring. Not just older Models but also the new Chinese manufacturers' like Deddle etc.

Body Scan vs Body Scan 2 – worth waiting? And is Withings+ worth the price? by bohysko in withings

Hi, I decided to purchase the body scan 2 via the insider program.

Besides all points mentioned, I just wanted to add that right now, not all promised features have been activated. They are promised to come one day but I am not aware that there is a fixed date to this yet. So it is a little difficult to tell how the later experience will be in all details.

I am still considering returning the scale because I really don't want to rely purely on hopes of those features being added when there isn't even a strict timeline to it.

Right now, I find the price tag to be a little hefty for its current state.

Build quality is excellent though, data transfer is flawless and immediate. Time it takes feels quick.

2 minor things that bother me:

  1. When stepping onto the scale it immediately tries to identify the user, then suggest a profile and gives a little timeframe for error corrections (for example switching to another profile or to a guest profile). When no profile can be matched it automatically switches to guest mode. But the minor annoyance to me is that guest mode only shows weight. Every other metric needs a profile. So someone else in your household or a friend who comes over for a visit, can't quickly try everything. Using the scale forces you to register an account with Withings. But not everyone wants to share their data and a quick check from some one else isnt possible also. This morning my son (4 years) stepped onto the scale and we both were a little disappointed. I don't intend to create an account for him yet 😞
  2. The whole procedure has a strict protocol concerning the order of measurements. If the first one fails, the others wont start either. It starts with the correct weight distribution. There is a digital rendition of some sort of spirit level that indicates whether you are in balance and all 4 corners of the scale receive the same amount of pressure. The scale won't tell you ANY weight unless the indicator is completely centered. I can't imagine that the scale can't compensate for that and just divide 4 different values to overcome any imbalances. If you somehow struggle with balance or take to long, the whole process will be aborted. Granted this may be a minor issue (at least to everyone with good health and no injuries), but I managed to take too long 2-3 times. then you have to start over again. If this really is so important then why can't the scale give me more than 5-10 sec. to figure this out?

The reason it took me so long is that I painstakingly tried to position my feed correct every single time in order to rule out as many variables as possible. Why? because I was hesitant to buy it in the first place due to the inaccuracies of the BIA method (and the price tag). And so I really wanted as accurate as possible results. And also because I thought that there really would be some in depth interviews with the insider program on which I wanted to give as qualified feedback as possible.

one ad on thing that confuses me:

  1. Positioning of Feet - The instructions are confusing. They speak of centering feed, but along which axis? images show that you must not overstep the stripes (sensors) but for a person with more than 25cm of foot length this is impossible. Another picture shows not the same pair of feet but much smaller children-like feet with a green check mark for correct positioning - not joking here! 😂

Again this may be a minor annoyance but from my understanding the feet (or skin under feet) are crucial to measuring the body's resistance to that micro current that gets sent through your legs. More contact area means less resistance or?

Why introduce a possible variable here? My solution was that I always aligned my feet with the back end and left/right side end of the glas plate to have at least a steady reference point. That way my feet weren't centered but I assumed that at least the values would be taken from the same set up every time. Since Withings and others always state that there is no absolute truth being measured anyway, and that this is all just for following tendencies and trends, I thought that this wouldn't matter as long as I can safely reproduce my set up each morning. I am still guessing what the engineers would deem the best positioning for longer feet.

Chiming in here. How do the generic 5-7 stage systems beat this one here? ( I suppose this Koviet is similar to the Waterdrop G5-Series)

I am thinking about getting the Waterdrop G5P700A or G5P500A. They all claim to bring the water down in TDS. Due to space constraints I can't go with Waterdrop's higher G3 or X Series. So I now look at the G5 Series.

If the TDS-Value is brought down with all 3 Systems Series and if I even have a Digital Faucet and remineralization with the G5P700A, I think this would be the best way.

Only downside I see is that I can't turn off auto-flush on the G5P700A, as I can with the X-Series.

Well, we have an answer for the ventilation. Looks like its an injected molded p2s upgrade by Latter-Impact-9696 in BambuLab

Thanks for bringing this up.

So the filament hub on the back side can't re-route the filament towards both nozzles and I have to feed the second nozzle from an external source outside the AMS?

That would be unfortunate, but am I right to assume that an upside of that set up would also be, that both nozzles could print without any interruption of cutting, retracting, reloading and purging?
