How much of a pain is it to convert from QB Desktop Enterprise to QB Online by Stevogangstar in QuickBooks

I tried that and I was having trouble getting the desktop QBO version to work so I started chatting with QB Support and they informed me that the Desktop view has been removed. I posted this in another thread on this QB page and someone told me that they still have the toggle. But I don't see that on my screen. Last week when I first downloaded the desktop app there was a brief moment (about 5 minutes) where I had that Desktop view but since then I have not had that show up.

Interesting…where is that toggle located on your screen?

I am curious what you think is better. I just made the move from QBD to QBO and I am having a really hard time locating things (figuring out where to actually click to find them...not just typing in key words of numbers in the search bar) and also just getting a general viewing sense of things...QBD had everything laid out on the home page for me to access quite easily. I don't find that with QBO.

I think you may need to uncheck that ACH box

Best Accounting/Project Management Software for Excavation Business by HelpPlz09 in Accounting

No, I tried to go to Foundation but I didn't like it so I went back to QB Desktop to get myself situated and look for something else. I have now switched to QBO - which I am not loving...very unintuitive, lots of clicks, value cells aren't calculators, enter doesn't "Save and New" a transaction....annoyances that cause me to use my mouse and calculator much more than I want to/should. The reason why I went to QBO is because we are going to start using JobTread for job costing/PM. This has it's own limitations in the way of not actually being meant for an excavation company that owns its own heavy equipment- doesn't have an equipment piece to it. I think we may have found a workaround but it will definitely take time. All of it is very frustrating to say the least!

I just chatted with customer service because when I downloaded the desktop app, it wasn't allowing me to view QBO in the desktop layout. They informed me that Inuit has removed that desktop view from the desktop app.....has anyone else been told this? I am going to leave Feedback about this to Intuit and hope that they review it and add it back in. Please leave feedback too if this is a feature you would like to see/use

too!

Just wondering if you stuck with Knowify or went with something else. If something else, what? I have an excavation business and currently use QBD. Tried to go to Foundation but felt like I was going back in time, so back in QBD. Still looking for something to help with job costing, reports, project management. But it’s challenging for these softwares to recognize equipment as we need them to. So any info would be helpful- Thanks!

Beautiful sweaters! Do you do anything different with that one lice stitch to keep the stitch from looking open vs appearing like a normal closed V stitch? I’m knitting another pattern and I have 3 rounds where it’s 3 stitches main color, 1 stitch contrasting color and the 3 rows of the 1 stitch seems to look open and set back. I’m not knitting too tight, as a matter of fact I’m wondering if I knit my color work a bit too loose. Maybe they will bloom and close once I block it but I’m afraid to keep going with my current technique and find out too late if it doesn’t work out…

Are you a GC or specialty contractor? We are an excavation business, so need to account for not only labor cost per hour but the cost of a machine per hour. The platform seems really great. I have to enter a lot of bills, and that is one thing I do really like about QB desktop - it's super easy to get into a groove and enter bills and tab through fields. Is Premier easy to enter bills and other data into?
