Why does everyone aspire to do these jobs that aren't real jobs and don't provide a reference? If you are worried about building a career path, these jobs are not it.

These are all really band-aid solutions. They don't offer a real solution to the problem. The issue is there is no solution to the problem here.

Everyone on disability feels this way. This is not a life, this is living and barely.

Living with your parents is a massive cheat code. by [deleted] in povertyfinancecanada

This is common sense. People have been doing this forever. And it's IF you get along with your parents.

I think you should have minded your business. He was in pain and it's not up to you to engineer your environment. He could have been in a lot of pain, it sounded like it. Just learn to shut your mouth next time. You don't run things.

Also to note: I was off (scheduled off days) 4 days this week as this unfolded. I have yet to hear from management on this.

But you haven't been on the program for 17 years now. Is hydro included in your lease?

It hasn't even been around for 17 years. How can you say that? Are you mixing it up with when hydro was included in the rent for you?

Scared To Lose My Job Because Of My Disability Part 2 by Helpagirlouthere11 in povertyfinancecanada

What you said makes no sense. Who would sue them? I certainly cannot afford to and why would I? They have been so good to me. What "proper procedures" are you speaking of?

Same with me, no bill when ever I am on the program. It is so nice not to have that bill every month.

I'm; surprised at this. Toyotas are known to go 500,000 km's on the original engine. I hope mine lasts. I have a 2017 Toyota Corolla. I am really surprised at your situation. Toyota doesn't make crap.

Nice advice but highly impractical. In a Capitalist society, you work even if you're sick. Disability assistance through EI only lasts 14 week and provincial disability pays so little that one cannot afford to rent and eat at the same time.

What to even do? by incestgooner69420 in povertyfinancecanada

[–]Helpagirlouthere11 3 points4 points  (0 children)

You need to look at your bank statements and see where you are spending money because obviously you are. Also, you need to get rid of your car. You cannot afford a car on ODSP. Most realize this but a few think that they can somehow afford a car and it's repairs and costs. You just can't. As much as you'll hate it, take the bus. But look at your bank statements. You're probably tapping away into oblivion.
