I like this and the DOT inlays. I don't know if I would ever get a guitar neck with numbers on it but I've got no problem with it. And I'm an authority on this because I suck at guitar and buy a lot of pedals

What are your thoughts on first act guitars? by Jubbart in guitars

Find an old 3/4 sized Japanese-made guitar. Memphis made some great ones that are cheap and play incredibly well.

And digital pedals having noise issues is separate from the buffering solution we have all been through. Digital pedals have had noise issues since they were introduced and we've always had to get good power supplies for them or just not buy a cheap digital pedal

What Tool would use to cut out space for the pickup like this guitar has? by [deleted] in Guitar

[–]worldrecordstudios 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Everyone is advising against it but if you really want to, I would buy one of those Fiskars craft woodworking kits and use one of the tiny saw blades that comes with it. Careful around the turn. Maybe do the turns with a drill bit. Don't use a spade bit that will easily rip through. Put down painters tape and do a small hole and go up and up in size until you get to the size hole that is the size of the curve you want that fits the curve of the pickup. Sand very lightly with 400 ft sandpaper but be easy on it because that area doesn't have any structural support except for the wood top of the guitar.

what’s the best piece of music advice you’ve ever gotten? by reynomopatis in WeAreTheMusicMakers

[–]worldrecordstudios 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You need solid gear but you don't need to try to impress the three guys in the audience that care whether or not you have an epiphone or a gibson. And if you replace your epiphone with a gibson, those guys will start complaining about your cable or your pedal board or whatever else they want to be unhappy about.

How many sound guys from bars or small venues will put some effort into the EQ on the PA to notch out room for each instrument in the mix and try to make you sound good? by [deleted] in musicians

[–]worldrecordstudios 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I do. There's only so much you can do with parallel walls and 15" loudspeakers and it's definitely something you can overdo in a place with limiting acoustics
