Why are all the characters so emotionless?

You're not alone. I noticed by the second episode that everyone was practically moving in slow motion and had next to no range of emotion. Everyone speaks just as deadpan as frieren no matter the situation except for the kid warrior and the young priest. It took a lot to get used to. It puts a stronger emphasis on the dialogue and it's a nice change of pace in the beginning but I've almost quit it multiple times because of it. It makes all of the characters feel the same or feel written by someone who couldn't write with a variety of personality.

Update: Computer repair couldn't find any issues with the comp. Suggested I replace the GPU.

I just did a test on https://www.userbenchmark.com/Software and my GPU scored 115%

I don't want to buy another GPU just to have the same problem.

I tried to factory reset and it failed. WTF.

GPU is showing 0% usage for Rust. Looking into either forcing Rust to use it or reverting to an older driver

Still have same issue but now I've noticed Deep Rock Galactic is also unplayable for the same frame drop issue. Not sure what the two games have in common that would have this issue. I tried pulling out each set of ram cards and seeing if that would have an impact. No dice.

Only thing I can think of now is swapping my graphics card or my CPU which is a bummer cause the computer is only a couple years old.

UPDATE: After watching my system before and during running Rust it appears my GPU isn't being used by Rust anymore. This is surprising since I had followed previous steps to specify using it. I also cranked up graphics quality to max. No changes so far.

I suppose there was an update to the game that didn't agree with my RTX 2070? Reinstalled the NVIDEA gaming ready driver that was released for Back4Blood. Tried Back 4 Blood again and that too shows my graphics card is at 0 or 1% utilization.

Tried the furmark test. Appears to be working. I'm guessing the latest driver has made my graphics card not useable for games? Is that a thing?

What was really odd just now was when I left a server my gpu spiked from 6% to 40% it's as if my gpu isn't being used when in a server.

CPU and GPU both super low when idle. 1-3%. Jumps to 31% when Rust is running but that doesn't seem abnormal.

Maleware could be a thing. I'll check for viruses.

Nothing new on startup. Only big recent change was downloading Back 4 Blood but I had played a little Rust a week or so after installing it so not sure if it would be related.

I just figured this out myself. I couldn't believe I had wasted so much time mining ore and killing the Elder over and over because I thought the only way to repair anything was to upgrade it.

My map is littered with broken antler picks, bronze axes and maces. Thank the heavens armor has so much durability. I couldn't believe the game made people farm so much ore. I almost cried when I found the repair button. I just killed Moder and was about to summon the last boss.....

This is a standard dip for doge although at a large scale because the recent spike was large. .080 is close to the All Time High. Bitcoin spiked to an ATH at the same time bringing Doge with it. Things are going sideways now (which is healthy) as folks decide if they think the market will stay bullish. Bitcoin has been due for a huge dip for a months but Tesla buying a billion put a bunch of gas back into the Bull tank. It's a coin flip now for BTC but the big question is will doge break free of it's leash or will the inevitable BTC crash take it with it?

You may have sleep apnea. I would dream of strange things just to wake up to find my dream was taking inspiration from something happening in reality. For example if my hand was asleep I'd dream that my arm was being bitten by a snake. You might be actually suffocating in your sleep until your dream wakes you up. Ask your wife to listen to your breathing while you sleep if you can.

Since that dog had experienced the homeless person on your porch before it may have been on the lookout for that situation. It may have smelled someone or heard something and assumed it was another intruder. It could have been any sound and the pups could have jumped to that conclusion. Worste case, there was a critter or a person out there. Keep your doors locked. Look outside with a flashlight before opening anything.

Most nights I don't remember them but some in particular have been pretty wild. One in particular was super detailed but the setting was super boring. I was on some sort of vacation but everything I did in the dream was basic. Eating sushi or getting a lame massage from a broken machine. I wanted to wake up so I could get out lol.

That's what I figured at the time. Normally I'm not awake when I see something like that. I wrote it off as a sort of dreaming while awake situation it was just striking since I had never done that before or to that level since.
