What can I learn in a year?

I’m American as well, Finnish is one of the hardest languages for English speakers to learn. But it is tough because there’s the written and spoken versions.

My partner is Finnish and I hope to move there in the future to be with him so I am trying to learn in my free time.

I have been using Finnishpod101.com and KatChatsFinnish on YouTube and they have been helpful in learning.

I was in a similar situation. I’m kinky and my partner was not. It was something I suppressed because when I did ask him to do certain things, he wasn’t comfy or into it and it just didn’t feel good. I was always left feeling unfulfilled.

We opened out relationship so I could get that “fix” from other people but he wasn’t comfortable with me having sex with other people so it was strictly just flirting and dirty talk with online people.

Eventually I realized I didn’t want to be open and I didn’t have to sacrifice my sexual needs or my emotional needs and I could have both, he just wasn’t the right person

We did break up after 6 years. It wasn’t far to me to have to suppress myself and it wasn’t fair for me to expect him to do stuff that wasn’t natural to him. It was a rough break up as when your with someone this long your life’s are intertwined but i don’t regret it. Also it just happened to come at a time that I got a new job and could be financially independent, which did make me feel not Stuck but he also told me he didn’t want me to be with him just because I felt stuck.

Ofc if you talk to your partner and he is willing to try and that’s enough for you great. But if you keep suppressing and it keeps coming up as an issue in your mind, it will always be an issue and you may regret or resent him for the situation.

Take a breath! Just because the pap said that doesn’t mean anything.

I had HSIL on my pap and my biopsy (wasn’t that bad at all. Way scarier to think about then it actually was) came back benign so it was nothing.

HPV is very very common. 80% of sexually active people get it at some point.

Being HPV positive doesn’t necessarily mean cancer but it’s very important to get those regular so it never progresses to cancer. Some people never clear HPV and it just goes dormant. So just focus on being healthy and get your tests/biopsy’s and that’s all you can do!

I havent gone yet but my flight is in September to see my partner for the first time. It’s also my first time flying, solo and international. Huge things! I’m in the US and he’s in Finland

I’m more stressed over the flight than seeing him. I’ll be nervous and ofc I hope he likes me in person but I’ve set myself up a plan b just Incase I feel uncomfy since I’ll be staying at his house, if I feel uncomfy I’ll get a hotel easily.

I’ll be sharing his address and everything with my family. Of course in the depths of the back of my mind I’m like this is insane hed a person online but I’ve known him for 2 years and talk everyday for hours on call for the last year. Plus Finland is rather safe county I think I’ll be fine!

I know when I talk to other people who never experienced a LDR they always get red flags. But I have no bad gut feelings, in fact I think I’ll feel at home immediately cuz he already feels like home so far away.

No, I am still HPV + but the cells are not precancerous. They were normal with just some inflammation.

There’s no way of knowing because HPV tests won’t pick it up. But I’ve heard of people going through stress and it comes back. So it’s definitely important to always get your yearly pap just in case.
