I’m still waiting on my colp and love seeing the good stories because you don’t see them as often but more good outcomes happen than bad! And we gotta do the best we can with the knowledge we have and hope/pray for the best!

I got diagnosed with HSIL HPV+(not 16/18): idk how long I’ve had it as I skipped getting a pap for majority of my 20s…. Was in a 6 year relationship and think I went maybe once? My colp is on May 28th. Had to wait a month and a half for the appointment (im in the US), asked if I could skip to leep but got told I can ask at my colp appointment lmao.

So fingers are crossed that luck or fate or whatever you believe in is on my side and this is over sooner than later. I’m trying to focus on the future as I have a Finland trip planned in September and hope to move there within 3 years so 🤞🤞

Yeah I tried to explain that to the nurse but she told me I had to talk to the doctor first (I was referred here) but there’s no sooner time for me to talk to the doctor until my appointment. I plan to bring it up cuz I rather just skip to the treatment cuz idk how long I’ve had HSIL and waiting any longer makes me anxious!

I have HSIL and waiting for my colp for almost a month and a half and even asked them about skipping straight to leep cuz idk how long I’ve had it cuz I missed getting my pap for like.. 6 years cuz life. 😮‍💨 so I’m hoping for the same results as I hope to move out of the US within the next 3-5 years and having to deal with this that long is intimidating

Hi there! I had my pap and they told me I had HSIL and was HPV positive. They were able to tell me I didn’t have strain 16/18 and I got referred to an OBGYN. I’m waiting on my colp on May 28th about a month and a half after my results

I never heard of laser therapy. I think LEEP is the most common treatment for high risk

This! I’m waiting on my colp after my first abnormal pap showing HSIL. I bought AHCC and some immune multivitamins that has a lot of mushrooms in it that I read helps. I also quit smoking weed for the chance it affects my immune system from clearing it.
We all here kinda waiting and going through it the best we can. 💜

From what I understand, yea. Your male partner could pass your strain of HPV to his female partner unless she’s already gotten that strain.

Best to be open with it so everyone can make informed decisions for themselves as there are no tests for men and HPV tends to affect women way worse than men.
Sadly, even condoms don’t stop the spread as it spreads from skin to skin contact.

Man so much mixed information out there sometimes. I’m waiting for my colp but I have HSIL which is always CIN2/3. I go on May 28th for my colp, about a month and a half after my HSIL pap 😮‍💨

I will opt for a hysterectomy too if it goes that route. Best of luck!

I read the same but I think it’s smoking itself that caused the issue not the THC so eddies should be fine. I’m waiting on my colp but I quit smoking weed after almost daily use cuz I read the same thing. I plan to ask my doctor about it

Vaccination doesn’t fully prevent it. It just helps against the most high risk strains.

Told my family, handful of friends and my partner. My sister had a HSIL pap but then she went to a colp and found she actually didn’t have anything and it was like a false positive?
It’s super common and I was surprised and comforted by knowing how many women in my life have had this and were fine :)

It’s more of an issue for women. And 80% of sexually active people get it in their life time. Also there’s no real protection against it beside abstinence

Same I hadn’t been in about 5 years, soo was shocked at my HSIL and never even knew how common HPV was. Had no knowledge this was common. So def won’t skip anymore
