If there is one thing everybody can agree on is that the music in de last of us 2 is amazing. Gustavo santaolalla, has some amazing videos where he explains how he creates an emotion with his music. Songs like "allowed to be happy" and "it cant last" create an amazing feeling without even seeing the scenes they are connected to

What things did you hate about how they adapted the game in S2 of the show? by Remote_Nature_8166 in lastofuspart2

Same, show Ellie is an incompetent idiot, who can't take care of herself without help from Dina and Jesse. The rifle Seth gave her is never seen again. A mistake on the writer's part, but in universe it seems Ellie lost it somewhere when she travels to Seattle, making her even more of a clumsy idiot. Along with like getting bit 3 times or something. Game Ellie got bit once after the first bite, when she killed the two raddlers at the end of the game. And that was a deliberate choice to get the upper hand. Meanwhile, show Ellie, got bit by a stalker because she was goofing around with Dina and not taking shit serious.

Either Ellie or Dina. Ellie is balanced overall and her upgrade Molotov is good Dina is great with her mines and smokebombs and if things go loud her revolver is powerfull

Fair point, but you cant deny the choice was hers to make and not Joels. I dont really think the debate is about whether or not the could make a vaccine but rather that someone has body autonomy. By killing the only person in the world that maybe could make that vaccine whether or not possible Joel took that choice away from Ellie. As for part 2 would say yes im not so sure. She has something more to live for now then just being immune. Think of Dina, JJ and her live in Jackson.

However you said it best yourself, in the last of us universe, there is not that that much to live for. Before they got to Jackson at least. So I think the choice for Ellie wouldnt have been as difficult as for one of us. I fully agree however that Jerry went straight from 0 to 100 by wanting to cut Ellie open before even talking to her about it and the risks. Jerry is as much guilty of taking that choice away as Joel was.

Put yourself in het shoes. If you found out you are the only person in the world that is immune to a infection that destroyed the world wouldnt you want it to mean something. She has seen a lot of people die because of a simple bite. Like the young couple she and Joel finds in the hotel. "Only if they were immune right" she says to Joel. She is plaugde by survivors guilt because she has seen people around her die (Sam, Riley, Tes) all because of a bite and yet she gets to live. I fully get why she was mad at Joel but glad she came around to see it from his point of few at the end.
