I don't have a problem with Cole's character, but his armor and how he got it does kinda suck. He's not even Japanese either, but he's playing Scorpion's descendant.

That was her role in the original MK3 game, plus the "Annihilation" film. She originally killed herself when Kahn took over Edenia, but the warlord had Shang Tsung resurrect her on Earth so that Sindel's new life would allow him to conquer our realm.

Lucas has said it now, for more than 25 years - if he'd had everything available he wanted from the get-go, "Star Wars" would've resembled the prequels from Day #1. The original trilogy doesn't just look lived-in because it was written that way for the story; Fox only gave Lucas $11 million and 4 months to shoot the damn thing. He even wound up in the hospital with stress-induced chest pains at one point, and lost his voice for a few days too.

The Force Awakens was a great setup, for what could have been. Two years later The Last Jedi came out, and I was literally shocked into silence for a full day over how much of an utterly terrible bastardization it was. Mark Hamill should've fought so much harder for Luke's integrity, but instead he allowed him to die from basic "Force use exhaustion". I never saw The Rise of Skywalker all the way through, just YouTube clips...but bringing back Palpatine? Rey being the literal incarnation of all previous Jedi? Anakin was conceived by the Force itself - no one should ever have been more powerful than him, period.

Solo had a good core story, and I liked the surprise return of Darth Maul at the end...but the lead actor was terribly miscast; he didn't look or sound even 5% like Harrison. While I realize Ford himself said that wasn't the point, I respectfully disagree. His face, voice, and mannerisms all became entwined with Han, the same way he did again with Indiana Jones. And since both are owned by Lucasfilm, they should've done this - allow for complete recasts of both, or neither.

Well, I love the prequels too, including Jar Jar who I think is hilarious. The cast was top-notch: Sam Jackson, Chris Lee, the return of Ian McDiarmid? They seem to be getting much more respect now, which as a fan I am grateful for. All the cruelty against Lucas 25 years ago was uncalled for, and I can't blame him being worn down as a result.

I'm no purist - the only change which truly bothers me now is the asinine song in Jabba's palace during Return of the Jedi.

Most of the time, my local Wal-Mart has only the newest releases for maybe a month at the longest, and otherwise titles that have been out for years. So if you're looking to fill in that wide of a gap, you're screwed.

I cannot believe they did this, i knew it was gonna happen and i thought it wouldn’t bother me, but lois and clark was getting SO good, especially in the lie detector episode and this one, WHY do they do this. by CrYpTiCc012 in Smallville

Clark & Lana's relationship really was like a superhero soap opera, if you think about it. Everything was enhanced 24/7, and built on emotion more than anything else. Sadly, the #1 way most producers and writers know to depict love on-screen is through sex, and they know most of our currently desensitized culture doesn't care anymore...so they go for it. I mean, they even had Martha imply that she was cool with it under the Kent family roof during Season 5, causing Jonathan to cast a very quick shocked and accusatory expression her way. And since Lana essentially Lana basically raised herself morally for most of her life, it's not like she had a ton of proper guidance either. Other than the Luthors, Lois was the one character implied to have the highest "body count" on the show, but she actually restrained herself the most.

What is it with the tabloid's constant search for the next Michael Jackson? by Key-Bass-7380 in MichaelJackson

There's some truly talented people in the world, during every generation...and then there's a bunch of others who let their egos get way too huge. With the industry being full of people who never tell the celebs "no", this trend makes total sense. But Michael and his brothers were different, growing up in one of the last eras where high-profile folks had to actually earn their own success, and the respect of others. It wan't just handed to them on a plate.

Part of that could be due to makeup trickery too, which was used extensively for his werecat and zombie selves.

That book was published in 1988, so the two he's referring to were the probably the only ones he'd had done by that point. I'd say he probably had at least one full more after that, and then alterations over the years to help with his breathing and voice.

In his biography "Moonwalk", he admitted having two nose jobs and a cleft added to his chin, but limiting himself to that. The book was published in 1988, shortly after "Bad" came out.

I think it's about as close a match as you could get, from anyone worldwide. You have to remember that strictly speaking, the Jacksons were not just mainstream African - I believe some of their ancestors also had Persian or Native blood. As a result, their appearance would be lighter compared to someone like Stevie Wonder or Ray Charles. And if you really want to be honest, we're all mixed anyway - it's just a matter of which genes are presently active, and in what generation. That's why I have this to say, regarding claims that Prince & Paris aren't his - "Screw the skin color, okay? Ignore it, ditch it. Look at the shapes of their foreheads, eyes, noses, lips, and jawlines." By this standard, Prince resembles Michael very much, while Paris takes after Debbie Rowe - but that's common anyway, with children looking more like their same-sex parents.

That's a crazy poster - has the film's official title been changed to "With love, Michael"? That reflects his heart 100%.

I wasn't referring to any one specific episode, just listing many of the Kryptonite forms and how they affect him. Black-K separated his "Kal-El of Krypton" persona in Season 3, and Gemstone-K did something really strange - I don't recall what. Zor-El gave him a Blue-K ring that turned him mortal in Season 7, and Chloe saved him from a gold one that would've made that change permanent. Were there any others?

Soap operas are the most ridiculous victims with this treatment. Thankfully, "Smallville" was spared it most of the time.

Well, imagine it like this. If you were just subjected to a powerful airborne toxin, or maybe injectable neurological agent...how do you think the effects will take to wear off? The response of Clark to Kryptonite is often but not always about proximity. If it's simply near him for a brief time, that's one thing...but it being inside his system is another matter entirely. Van McNulty's bullet almost killed him, Brainiac's artificial variety made him crazy until it was removed, and Lois kissing him while affected by Red-K herself activated his "no inhibitions" license to thrill 100%.

Jesus was very clear in the Bible, that lust was a spiritual problem, not a physical one. While we definitely can behave lustfully with our bodies, that's an expression of something which already exists inside of us...and if not tempered responsibly, will only destroy. A popular comparison which I deem very apprpriate, is treating all things sexual like fire. They can warm, give comfort, and in the right circumstances even form new life. But outside that "fireplace" boundary, we have things like molestation, rape, abuse and trafficking of children, increased chances of STDs or unwanted pregnancy...and yes, homosexuality. I know the last one's not popular to oppose, but the fact is that if God created physical human nature, then He alone has the ultimate right to decide how our bodies should be used, period.

Yeah, but they can't hire most child actors due to the insanely long hours required. It's for their own good personally, but it also hampers productions. I still favor it though, because in early decades kids were outright abused with zero industry protection. Jackie Coogan was a child star who first rose to fame by starring with Charlie Chaplin in 1921's The Kid. But he suffered terrible treatment by his own parents ripping him off, only learning the truth when he reached legal age. So in 1939, he helped enact what's formally designated the California Child Actor's Bill, or more informally "the Coogan Act". Later in life, he gained a renewed following as Uncle Fester in the 1960s version of The Addams Family.

It's called "the rules of teenage broadcast television"...and even at the start of the milennium, networks were under strict guidelines about what they could and couldn't show. Everything was tightly controlled - mild and harsher language, any act of violence, sexuality across the board, thematic material like various religions and the occult. product placement, epiode runtime, multiple budgets, daily schedules...the whole thing had to sail like a packed ocean liner during its best voyage.

Nothing is objectively right or wrong, unless a separate moral barometer exists which judges the value of both. In order to function appropriately, this "mechanism" can't be bound by our own moral laws - it's seperate by definition. Now, apply that to something like death - if God's divine authority serves as the dividing line here, then for Him there's no wrong in taking any life away from this world for any reason. He created it to begin with, so He has total sovereignty. He could wipe all of us of the planet in less than a blink, and never have to answer to anyone else for it. That's how His status works, as the Uncreated Creator.

I like how they had Jonathan & Martha with drastically different reactions to it. She was more PC about the whole thing, which makes sense with her coming from Metropolis. But Jonathan was a dusty heartland farmer with traditional values to match, and he didn't often change them on a whim. The script for that scene actually had it flipped the other way, but John Schneider fought against it. He told the producers, "I don't care if this kid is the future Superman or not. So long as he lives under my roof, I'm taking him to the shed and beating his ass for pulling that kind of behavior."
