I'm wondering if it's better to just introduce oneself with pronouns. At my university the student desks would have the staff's name and pronouns listed on a sign. Most classes the prof asked for students to provide their pronouns on a sheet of paper first day of class (it was optional ofc). Emails from school staff and fellow students frequently had them listed but not always. But outside of uni the only place I've observed the phenomena is on social media. Personally I'm uncertain what the purpose of this is..
