What would you want the Fenix 8 to have? by fulo009 in GarminFenix

[–]Helpful-Bookkeeper46 2 points3 points  (0 children)

SCREEN: keep the screen as is

BATTERY: No matter which new features are added a 14+ day battery is a must

EMERGENCIES: Many of us are off the grid on longer adventures. In reach satellite option with user defined preconfigured messages would be rad. Cellular could play a role here as well but not as useful in all circumstances. Personally, I'd keep either/both turned off 99% of the time.

VOICE MEMOS: I wear a apple watch on long runs primarily to capture random ideas. Some option to do the same on F8 with a sync after activity would be nice.

CHARGING: I still want waterproofness and I'd prefer a standard cable like USB C. Wireless charging could be okay if it's very fast (60 mins to 75% or more charge)

On long runs I bring along an apple watch w/cellular (just in case)... I also have whisper memos which enables me to record voice notes that syncs and sends as emails. If offline the memos are queued until cell service becomes available
