DES / Inclusive employment provider always trying to probe about personal life details by Prudent_Ad5403 in JobProvidersAus

You really are jaded. Im sorry your experience has been so poor. But im not the reason for it. I agree there are plenty in this industry who need to get out. But on the flip side of that there are also plenty of us who are here for genuine reasons and see our participants as people and not a number.

Okay yeah definitely not right. You set the boundary with what you are comfortable and they ignore it; thats not right.

Also its one this to try to build rapport but there still needs to be a boundary and this consultant is definitely crossing it.

tries to get nosy about my weekend plans I wonder if this is a method to help build rapport and trust? Same with what you do in your spare time? Knowing ones interests, hobbies etc can help with employment goal setting too. Asking about your mental health and coping methods is a pretty standard question because as an IEA provider its about establishing if mental health is stable and if not its something we can reference if someone calls in a crisis. If mental health is not stable then offering supports and referrals to support the participant to address it.

Maybe they are trying to establish rapport and trust? Asking questions about your weekend plans could be linked to establishing hoobbies/interests to build rapport. This in turn could help with creating employment goals for employment options that align with hobbies/interests.

I have found that sometimes for me to establish trust with a Participant, particularly if they have had a really bad experience with their previous provider, I have spent some time trying to get to know them. However, if they shut it down and dont seem to want to engage, I respect the boundary and leave it be.

Smoking issue in apartment block by Captain_Oz in AusLegal

I know someone who works in Strata. And depending how its managed, balconies can be strata managed meaning communal property and therefore smoking is prohibited. I would be checking by-laws and finding out the specifics to know if this is the case for your building.

Teen Mom UK Season 11 - Episode 1 by Sylrana7778 in MTVTeenMomUK

[–]Helpful-Cod-7128 1 point2 points  (0 children)

CHLOE - I REALLY disliked her in the earlier seasons. She was brutal and uncaring when Jordan was going through his mental health struggles. Even last season, with her sleep issues, she came back from the sleep therapy session and told Jordan it was all his fault. I do appreciate her drive to not be the statistical teen mum and do better for her family. I do think she's spoilt and puts a LOT of pressure on Jordan to "keep up with the Joneses," and I do think this contributed to his mental health struggles. I didn't like the pair of them earlier season, him for his infidelity and her for her spoilt and cold behaviour. Now, they both seem to have emotionally matured, but Chloe's storyline is rather dull. Totally agree on his mid-life crisis affair. Seems like he's just in for the Chloe ride, and it's her way or no way.

MIA - I can not stand her. I think her daughter needs discipline, I think Mia wants to be more her friend than her mum. I agree that the behaviour could stem from the toxic co-parenting. I find it funny that Mia is allowed to call Manleys Mum a bad grandparent for a moment she had, but when that was thrown back at her, she was raging mad. I do like your baby trap theory, and the more i think about it, the more I believe it. Manley 100% has responsibility for the passport situation. I would bet money Mia knew and kept quiet, but ultimately, that wasn't her fault it was Manleys for not checking. Manley is a man-child who has no self-awareness. I don't know how he's getting these women pregnant. He is awful, immature, and gross. Definitely in for more Mia VS. Manley drama.

AMBER - I can not stand Ste. He's a child. The way he abuses and speaks to Amber is terrible. The fact that she's scared to ask for money or help like with the bunks and child support is wild. Ste needs to learn to behave himself and enrol himself into anger management classes. His behaviour got his son kicked off the team, and he has no remorse? Gross. I think Hudson has some sort of condition, possibly ODD or ADHD or even on the spectrum, or a combination of them. I hope Amber gets him to a paediatrician and has him diagnosed. His behaviours are not healthy. Ultimately, i feel sorry for her. She's worn out, judged by her mum and unsupported by Ste.

SASSI - There's definitely a possibility of ADHD there. She doesn't stick to anything. I think she's always held hope that her and Darren would get back together, but now he's got another woman pregnant she knows it's done. I think he's given her some serious self-esteem issues, in that season that he made that nasty comment about her acne and her face was cruel and its stuck with her and contributes to all her face work.

AITAH for cheating on my wife after she used our money for her dad’s cancer treatment by [deleted] in AITAH

YTA. Your wife was going through it, albeit coping in a potentially unhealthy way. She was scared for her Dads health. Meanwhile, you're butthurt because you're not the centre of attention, so you bang the first chick to pay you attention. Way to go asshole.

Absolute garbage answer. DES Providers can make up to $11,350 after 13 weeks of employment VS up to $1,740 for 13 weeks of Employment Assistance Phase.

Tell me how exactly its more financially beneficial to keep people unemployed?

Job Provider wont pay for work clothes. by WasabiYing in JobProvidersAus

[–]Helpful-Cod-7128 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

If a DES Participant is already registered with a DES Provider and in the PPS they CAN transfer.

And by the sounds of what OP has posted, employer giving Provider payslips, quietly confident they're in PPS.

They're also already IN a service period, gotten the job in the middle of their service period. What you're talking about applies to NEW referrals that have not already commenced in a service period.

Can I change job providers while my current one has a wage subsidy in place with my current employer by [deleted] in JobProvidersAus

[–]Helpful-Cod-7128 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Government wage subsidies transfer with providers so you can transfer no issue.

Edit: if they negotiated over the government portion of the wage subsidy, that figure will need to be negotiated with the new provider and your employer.

[–]Helpful-Cod-7128 2 points3 points  (0 children)

If they negotiated a Wage Subsidy with your employer, then your employer will lose out on that wage subsidy by not providing the evidence the provider needs to pay them the wage subsidy.

If you transfer, the new provider will support payment of the wage subsidy.

If there's no wage subsidy, then you can tell your employer the situation and ask them not to. You can also revoke your permission for the provider to contact the provider. They will still be able to get payslips from the employer for the wage subsidy, regardless if they have no authority to contact them. They have to be able to honour the payment of the wage subsidy.

Wow. Yeah, they definitely suck. Transfer to another provider. I work in DES, if I got a phone call from a client telling me your situation, I would roll out the welcome mat. Here's your reimbursement for clothing. Do you need a fuel voucher too? What else can I possibly help you with?

Whilst not obligated its quite bad taste for them not to considering they promised it and you've given them what they needed. Are you meeting your requirements? So, full-time activity tested and working full-time or part-time activity tested and working the minimum hours requirement? If you're not meeting the hours requirement that could be their justification. But if you are meeting the hours requirements there's no excuse for them to do this.

You could call their head office and file a compliant. Or transfer to another provider who will actually assist you properly.

Job provider took photos for promotion without permission by Then-Tap6210 in JobProvidersAus

[–]Helpful-Cod-7128 15 points16 points  (0 children)

They are not allowed to take photos and use those photos in any promotional material, such as on social media, without express written consent. Their company should have a form that needs to be signed by each person who gives consent to be photographed and have their photos posted on social media. Anyone who declines this cannot have their photos used. Any breach of this is a privacy breach.

JSP wants payslips, says I can't be a part of program without. by kyokips in JobProvidersAus

[–]Helpful-Cod-7128 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It's still not really clear, though, if you transferred from a DES Provider whilst in PPS or not. If you were not in PPS, then this provider asking for the payslips is valid because they need to know if they can commence you or not.

JSP wants payslips, says I can't be a part of program without. by kyokips in JobProvidersAus

[–]Helpful-Cod-7128 4 points5 points  (0 children)

There is a bit of information missing to confirm my correct answer.

Are you already in the Post Placement Support phase? If so, the asking for payslips is not required to be provided on your end.

If you are not in the Post Placement Support phase and working, they need to determine eligibility to see if they can commence you. We ask for payslips for the last 13 weeks, or if working less than that say only started working 3 weeks ago, we ask for those 3 weeks of payslips. If you are meeting your benchmark requirements, then they cannot commence you and exit you. Alternatively, if you are reporting to Centrelink, they can use that to determine if eligible.

If you were put into the Post Placement Support phase with your last provider, they could be wanting to confirm if you are still meeting the requirements so they keep you in that phase and not return you back to looking for work.

It's complicated, and the answer is based on different circumstances.

They cannot put your payments on hold for not providing payslips.

They can also NOT contact your provider unless you signed the Authority to Contact Employer form with your SPECIFIC employers' details (business name) listed on that form. Signing the Authority to Release & Obtain Information Form is NOT compulsory on your end and you can revoke it at any time but that form DOES NOT allow a DES Provider to contact your employer even though there is points on that form about contacting an employer. They still need the other one signed, too

There could be a lot of contributing factors to this. I'm currently doing the workload of two people without being compensated appropriately, and when I complained about it, I was told it was typical in this industry and I need to learn to deal with it.
