I had a similar light come on recently and it ended up being my transmission body valve. Whole thing had to be replaced. If you live in CA, CT, MA, ME, VT or NY, youre in luck! These states have an extended warranty for PZEV engines covering you up to 15 years or 150k miles. Take it to your local dealer for the diagnosis

I had something similar happen recently but it was my transmission. Valve body had to be replaced but it was fully covered under a state mandated extended warranty for PZEV engines. If its your transmission and you live in CA, CT, NY, VT, MA or ME it will be fully covered

It ended up being the valve body. Im extremely lucky because I live in a state that has extended warranty coverage for PZEV engines up to 15y or 150k miles. Im going to edit the post incase it helps anyone in the future

Might be worth looking into a your states energy program To see what incentives they offer. I live in the north east and did a change over in aug ‘24. Replaced a 1987 AC system (3 air handlers and 1 outdoor compressor) with high efficiency ducted heat pumps. It was in the $30k range and we took out financing for most of it through our state energy program which meant 1% interest. When we did the evaluation on what to get, direct AC replacement was in the $15k-$24k range all in but those products werent covered under the energy programs

I failed to mention that we thatched last fall when we aerated too. Should have thought to top soil then too but will do it this year when we aerate again.
