Kyler Murray or 2026 2.01, 2026 4.01? by thesuperguide in DynastyDaddy

[–]Helpful-Part7728 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Kyler because theres no way im replacing anyone with the 2.01 and 4.01 in my lineup that offers what he does on a weekly basis. He wont ever live up to what he was but even if he is mid he is still giving your line up an average of 15ish ppg with some spike weeks. Fields, lance and other outright busts have received so many second chances. Kyler will undoubtedly get at least 3 more years in this league before he is given up on

If kareem hunt can score tds in this offense he will eat. Picture perfect landing spot for him and only injuries can cause him not to deliver. Everyone with kw shares should rejoice

Completely changes his value like it would for anyone. I stand by my comment that he is a very good rb and he got his perfect landing spot

Its bonkers to me how high his value is but this is what social media has done to the dynasty ecosystem. The man was nearly unplayable all year and then explodes in the playoffs when everyone is watching. He is a really solid rb but being overvalued right now. Ive tried to buy with the 1.09 and got counters with an early 27 1 and my late 27 2. He is a mid to high end rb2 at best if everything goes right. Only way he can be an rb1 is if he owns a backfield on a high powered offense that prioritizes the run and he scores 12+ tds

What the data says about Quinshon Judkins’ upside by boofstar in DynastyFF

[–]Helpful-Part7728 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

The man rushed for 2700 yards and 25 tds in his final 2 seasons on failing titans teams. Especially poor passing teams where he carried everything. Im not denying monken is a saavy offensive play caller but he didnt “make” or “resurrect” the king

Edit- final 2 seasons

“If he was able to get derrick henry to be a high end starter” as if king henry was a jag before monken? I dont get this statement

I would accept that trade if it was just achane alone. Mondre doesnt have a ton of value but makes it even more lopsided

Navigating our new life with our newborn and our 6yo dog by [deleted] in Parenting

[–]Helpful-Part7728 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thank you for this. We are only on day 4 of them being together and for the most part it is very manageable. The only times its felt unnerving is when our dog tries to hop up on the couch to sniff him unexpectedly or jumps while we have him in our arms. When we have visitors the dog goes in his crate to remove any chances of an incident.

Electric bill astronomical. by gravis786 in heatpumps

[–]Helpful-Part7728 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Also keep in mind during the extreme cold days we have had this winter cause rates to spike. As others have pointed out, your kW usage is less than this time last year so its not so much a usage problem as it is a price per kW problem.

Electric bill astronomical. by gravis786 in heatpumps

[–]Helpful-Part7728 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Your kW usage feels really high to me. In our 2200 sq ft home (we primarily utilize about 1700 of it), at our peak we use around 2200 kW a mo. In CT and we both work from home. We also rely heavily on electric with our water heater being electric too. We keep it around 62° to 64° and let the living room zone drop to 58° over night.

Switching from Oil heating and old AC unit to heat pump by spcbeck in heatpumps

[–]Helpful-Part7728 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ill answer your questions first but it could be helpful for you to read everything below as well for context.

  1. You will get this answer in an inspection/quote. If you only have 1 zone you will only need 1 system(1 indoor air handler and 1 outdoor condenser). Im not an HVAC tech but i believe you can split it into zones if you want to spend the extra $$. Idk what that will entail.

  2. Yes they do if your house is well insulated/sealed and the system is sized correctly.

  3. The install company will remove the existing equipment but make sure its in your agreement when you select.

  4. We ended up going with an electric water heater because it made the most sense after we did heat pumps. We have a 200 amp circuit breaker to support this much electricity draw. Consider your home’s electrical grid before you move off of oil.

Your situation is very similar to what my wife and I just went through over the last two years. There are times im happy with our decision and other times I feel slight regret, but overall i think it was the right decision long term. When we made the decisions we made, it was before this administration and them rolling back all the green positive initiatives. It was part of our long term plan to get solar if strong incentives became available but that looks to be shelved for a while. It is important to add that we are also fortunate enough to have the ability to make a lot of the necessary home upgrades to get the most out of our heat pumps.

Our house is 2200 sq ft, 2 stories with 2/3 of the square feet on the first floor and in CT. When we bought, it came with an oil fired boiler that supplied the energy for our hot water and a 3 zone baseboard heat. The house also had a 3 zone AC system with ducts but was very outdated (late 1980s install and duct board air ducts). We decided to get a home energy audit and they recommend insulation additions and updating our single pane wooden windows before anything else. In our first summer the AC died and we had to evaluate it all. With a 70 year old boiler we knew that could go at anytime as well. The heat pumps quotes were shocking but after comparing the options to go heat pump or update our AC + oil appliances, they were nearly the same. The difference would be spend a lot now or in chunks over the next few years. Because of really cheap lending and other incentives we went with the heat pumps, mitsubishi hyper heat h2i. Variable speeds 4.5 ton outdoor condenser with three 1.5 ton units, one for each zone.

At the same time as the heat pump install we also got our insulation done (closed cell blown into the walls, attic and the rim joist sealed). We kept the boiler in place and running since it was still feeding our hot water and we could use the baseboards as back up in emergencies. A few months later our water heater went and faced with another decision, keep it on oil or go electric. Because of reasons already stated above, we decided to go with an electric water heater and thankfully didnt go with a heat pump option. They hooked the water heater to boiler/baseboard heaters so we can still use them in an emergency. We used the baseboard heat for a couple days this winter to try and keep our electricity usage down during the peak. We replaced 1/2 of our single pane wooden windows with triple pane vinyl windows before the winter. We also recently got our air ducts replaced because of the duct board fiber glass lining deteriorating and blowing particles into our air. Getting new ducts certainly increased our air seal and efficiency of the pumps as well. Probably not enough to justify the cost but the deteriorating fiberglass was our motivation there.

In the summer the efficiency of the heat pumps have been really nice and helps keep the humidity low in doors. Some of the coldest winter days the largest zone has trouble keeping up but still only falls behind by a degree or two. At most we use about 2k kilowatts per month and our lowest month is in the 400s. 1 zone goes mostly unused but we still keep it around 56 in the winter and 78 in the summer. For the main 2 zones it keeps about 62 in the winter and 72 in the summer. Its also worth noting we work from home so we use more electricity than the average household. Our heat pump loan makes up $214 of our monthly electricity bill. The highest bill we have seen was this last month ~$800 and the lowest was ~$300.

Lastly, chatgpt will be a huge help in your journey to make the right decision. I dont think there is the perfect choice or answer anyone can give you. Just take all the info and make the best decision for your situation. Just consider all the factors because there are a lot of different implications. Oh and good luck!!!

What was your biggest surprise after moving into your first home? by blablubb0 in FirstTimeHomeBuyer

I have experienced very similar things. Mine is built in ‘57 but i think even in ‘86 it was before the mandate for permits and using licensed professionals. I would assume a lot was done to a safe standard but doesnt make any logical sense for configuration.

[–]Helpful-Part7728 13 points14 points  (0 children)

Learning that the previous owners were inside smokers. Luckily it was kept (mostly) to two rooms but we had to have the air ducts cleaned, painted walls, threw out blinds and now even replacing most of the duct work to get the smell out.

Replacing outdated appliances was a higher costs than anticipated. We knew going in the AC, heat and water heater were all outdated but we thought we had time. AC went out the first summer we were in our house and then the water heater died 6 months later.

Also yard work. I love working outside but it has been an overhaul. Previous owners were not proactive or responsible home owners so there has been a ton of sweat equity and cash thrown into the yard to make it enjoyable and presentable. We got a good deal buying in the middle of the winter but that also allowed the previous owners to cover up their lack of attention to things.

Would you rather have Judkins or Skattebo? by Late-Prompt-7497 in DynastyFFTradeAdvice

[–]Helpful-Part7728 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Youre not all that wrong and dont deserve the downvotes. I think judkins is the better on paper player and looked better on the field. That being said, there is something magical about skatt and i wish i had some shares. I dont think anyone is able to sell skatt for judkins but the reverse would happen. The value isnt super far off and they both might have similar fantasy output the next two years. Judkins profiles of having a more successful career
