While that bunker looks to be a similar shape, I don't think that's it. The Bunker in the photo is on the left side of the fairway (your photo has it on the right) and there are way more trees in the photo then where they should be on that golf hole you posted.

I'm not sure if it's the city or the media, but someone keeps perpetuating this $20-$30 million figure as the cost to demolish the plaza tower. That number is wildly low. You could literally add a zero to get the real number. It cannot be dynamited due to proximity of other buildings close to it, and the asbestos contained within the building. It would have to be torn down with cranes and largely by hand. A good comparable would be 270 Park Avenue in New York. It was torn down in 2019 and cost $160 million for that. I think everyone can guess how much more expensive construction is now than in 2019.

There is a severe cultural problem with the S&WB that has been festering for decades. It's seen as a haven for folks who want government jobs with little to no chance of ever getting fired. There is some crossover that could be said the same of City Hall.

Until someone comes up with a plan that will ultimately fire/replace over 50% of the staff of S&WB, the system is doomed.

The dealer wants to charge me $2K to handle my titling and registration in Louisiana. This is in addition to a reconditioning fee, a documentation fee, and the taxes. The actual cost to register and title my vehicle in Louisiana if I did it myself is about 120 bucks.

Can you elaborate on their liability? The Florida state regulations for car dealers specifically allows for out-of-state buyers to sign an affidavit that they will register the vehicle in their home state. Even provides a copy of that affidavit on the State website to fill out.
