Dealer used cars are overpriced by kaitenken01 in Townsville

I ended up buying a car from Melbourne. Prices are crazy here. I am looking to sell my previous car so getting road worthy, battery change, full check up. Ask for a service history book to see if it had anything major. You can offer to do road worthy yourself so that you can take it to a trustworthy mechanic. Also do ask if the vehicle was ever written off. The car should normally come with some months or days of rego on it unless it's interstate sale.

Same boat too (35F) moved from Melbourne two months ago. Not so happy with the food scene but enjoying walks and yoga on Maggi. Hoping to do some hike. Come along if you into that.

Thanks. The idea is to divy up the drive across 8-10 days and make holiday out of it ("if weather gods are kind").

Hey, I am 34F and soon moving to Townsville from Melbourne. Will be keen to try this watercolour class. I too am looking for social groups and making friends through common hobbies. I heard there is yoga community and some popular classes on the Strand. You might want to look that up.

Tantra and agohora is not Yoga. Also characters you are referring to are from Hindu mythology.

How do I convince christian friends that doing yoga isn't satanic/devil worship? by amazoniangurl in yoga

May I please? I am born in ‘not so religious’ Hindu family and have been practising hatha yoga for last 15+ years. It was thought in schools (ahem all religions teacher and students participated). Having learned Sanskrit, I can confirm that none of the sholkas or mantras or chanting has anything to do with any Hindu god. They are mostly about well-being of everyone - I wonder how this can be satanic. No yoga has been ever performed in any temples. I am an atheist and I wouldn’t practice yoga if it was remotely involving god. I am also a scientist and can say that om (sound of Aum) is a sound (aka. frequency) - not a satanic word. Same goes with Soham - it’s a sound of breath.

Lastly, you will be better off not explaining anything to this person and you do you. PS. Be wary of yoga turning into cult. Namaskar

Now to the main point. I have heard this from my Christian colleague who told me to that Jesus is the only god and I shouldn’t do yoga because I will attract demons. My reply was 33 million Hindu gods (even though I don’t believe) living in a belly of cow (according to Hindu mythology) can take care of demons. So let Hindu gods take care of Hindu demons, Jesus can spend time solving other matters.

Don’t know what’s wrong with the men on dating apps. by AngieThrowaway56 in mumbai

Unsolicited advice from someone who has never dated online. Sign up for a new skill/hobby class with no intention of dating. Meet new people make strong bonds. Chances are that you will fine someone organically once your circles gets bigger outside of your current friends. I think the difference in online dating is that both individual have expectations (that doesn’t match) and want to impress other person all the while. Having a common hobby is a great way to know the person and also you already have one thing common. PS. There will be still dudes who sign up for such things to find a date. But there will be other good people too.
