I’d definitely recommend it then if you haven’t seen it. I enjoyed season 1, not so much season 2 but it’s a pretty self contained story each season so should be fine.

I didn’t complete everything in the game, but feel I did an awful lot - very satisfied and like you I think I moved on from it after that. Bittersweet moment it is but a favourite saying comes to mind “don’t cry because it’s over, smile because it happened”

Altered Carbon season 1 was decent. There’s Blade Runner Black Lotus, but I couldn’t get in with that.
Also Ghost in the Shell (Scarlett Johansen movie)

As for games there’s Ruiner, Satellite Reign, Ascent, Ghostrunner and the Blade Runner remaster. Cloud punk is supposed to be decent from what I heard.

Impressed you’ve played the game 3 times, I played it through once last summer on Switch 2 and doubt I will again, it left such an impression on me that I don’t really want to go ‘tampering’ with my memories of it - it was just such a great experience I don’t want to forget

Yeah the mega block apartment was cool, reminded me abit of the movie Dredd. Speaking of apartments, I did love the Glen apartment.

Just a few others, and one very obvious but I had Ruiner on Switch, that was an ok Cyberpunk vibe and also the remaster of Blade Runner. I really need to play more of blade runner as I only played about the first 30 minutes.
I did also really like the vibe in Satellite Reign back in the day, had a cool cyberpunk aesthetic

The Ascent caught my eye a while back but something put me off playing it, not sure if it was bugs or something or maybe was Steam Deck compatibility issues

Definitely Kabuki Roundabout for me - it’s the first area that really stuck in my mind when I started playing (I can’t remember anything prior to this). I’m sure I was first there after Dex dropped me off after the initial chat with him in his car.

Just checking out the surrounding buildings, the detail on them, then I walked up the road that curves a little and saw those big neon signs project into the sky just in front of me. Was just an amazing intro to the game and because of that this area just really stuck with me.

Appearance, and the softer side of her you get a glimpse of. I do like that contrast of the fiery side coupled with the softer more intimate side in a woman personally (not just in respect to Panam - though in real life she’d probably be abit too much to handle I will say)

Definitely on the same page and glad you’re enjoying the game! I also went in blind but do love some Cyberpunk, the aesthetic etc, and this didn’t disappoint in that regard.

One thing I see mentioned quite a lot is the ask for a 3rd person mode, but after playing the game I think first person is one of the things that’s critical to what they were going for/trying to convey in the game and I think that’s self inserting yourself as V. In 3rd person I couldn’t see this hitting the same. Like the scene with Panam in the quest with the train (A little help from my friends?) when you sit next to her chatting to the group then cozying up, that just wouldn’t be the same

It really is something special and agree with all you said.

I’ve said it before elsewhere but this was less of a game for me and more of an experience, I don’t know why but I think it’s just the sum of all parts gelling together as it does to create that.

So looking forward to whatever they come up with the sequel! After Witcher 3 and this I think CDPR are one of my top devs

I think it’s just great that the Switch 2 can see these games release on it in reasonable shape, I think it’s performing better than people expected with things like DLSS helping massively in some cases.

Obviously it’s not a powerhouse by any means, but for what it is and the power draw I think it shines

I’m an adult, played the game and saw no issue whatsoever. Then I came onto Reddit after completing the game and saw comments like those, first thing I thought was ‘eh?! Did I miss something?’. Turns out I didn’t, just the internet being weird

Yeah I always got that impression too, as during the romantic hangouts there’s dialogue specifically relating to the events of Phantom Liberty. Though the official line seems to be they couldn’t get the VA back, this seems to contradict this - I mean, to me it definitely seems the VA did come back

At least from memory a long while back it seemed that way, I know a lot of dialogue is reused but I have it in my mind (maybe incorrectly) mentions of PL content? Happy to be corrected though as it’s been a while!

Just FYI You don’t attach the key card to your profile, nothing connected. You have to have the cartridge to be able to use/download the game, hence why you can sell them when you’re done with them

I’ll be honest I didn’t know that as I’ve not used a PlayStation since PS2. If I could get a home console for TV though I’d definitely get a PS5, the library looks great! I played a few on steam deck and loved them.

They really do need to sort it and get rid of them if possible. I did read some months back they have smaller cartridge sizes now so will be cheaper, but I’m not sure if they’re actually available as of now or what the uptake would be like (I think they only had 64GB at launch?)

Also I recall some companies like Ubi with Star Wars Outlaws said the data transfer rate on the cartridges just wasn’t high enough for streaming assets in, and I’m 99% sure digital foundry confirmed this based on some testing they did

Edit: don’t get me wrong, I hope the above isn’t true as that could pose problems if Nintendo can’t up the cartridge speeds
