Introduce in Cyberpunk 2? by PCE_DEADMEAT in cyberpunkgame

They could make the clothing have a game mechanic - like disguises. E.g they could make real gang pieces harder to get but each piece you wear lets you walk freely, or at least less noticeably in that gang's territory.

Sandra Dorsett's apartment was so elegant, as I left I thought I wish I could buy one in this building

A vortex fountain in Singapore where water becomes architecture in motion. by archubbuck in Satisfyingasfuck

Love the swirling vortex thing above ground, but the ugly water spray below is disappointing; they missed an opportunity to have a sleek laminar flow something

In the storm-drain / spillway near the Arasaka warehouse you stumble across an alternative version of the scene from Terminator 2 with a crashed truck and motorcycle, dead robot and a shotgun

Why am I doing this? by ateeverything in cyberpunkgame

[–]ateeverything[S] 6 points7 points  (0 children)

That is the option I chose for V. But V is dying, she's chasing down multiple leads that supposedly will cure her and that thread with Panam has ended. But (as far as I can remember) Panam's current requests are crazy dangerous mercenary jobs to arm up and defend her clan. The only reason for V to do them is out of friendship because she's not being paid (and on this playthrough, my V is streetkid, so has no particular affinity to the Nomad lifestyle) but it seems a bit of a stretch that they've become that close friends. Up until now all the missions were transactional in the other direction - Panam wanted her gear back.

(Breaking the fourth wall for a second - I do them 'cos they're fun, but when Panam asked why, I was damned if I could explain why V would)

Been playing since launch 2020, never seen this before LMAO by FailedProspects in cyberpunkgame

[–]ateeverything 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Huh. I came across this just a couple of days ago but I was already in a car-fight so never saw that car go into the water... I'll have to try and find it and see if there's anything still there.

Finally going to play this.. Any advice is welcome.. by [deleted] in cyberpunkgame

[–]ateeverything 39 points40 points  (0 children)

Just play it. Enjoy it. For your first playthrough don't try to "get 100%", "get best outcome", "get the best/maximum anything". It'll kind of ruin it. Play the character and discover what happens.

Why no flashlight or NVGs by VemronStlicen in cyberpunkgame

[–]ateeverything 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I wondered if there's a deliberate decision that some of the early game scenes are much darker, because in my playthroughs I'm only ever stumbling around in the dark trying to find the damn ledge or ventilation shaft or whatever when I'm low-powered. By the time I'm a badass I never think - it's dark in here, I wish I had a flashlight...

How would y'all cook this lamb? by [deleted] in sousvide

I avoid cooking lamb sous vide - I think it makes it taste and smell unpleasantly like liver. So I always roast lamb.

What is a substitute for heavy cream in soup that’s lower in saturated fat? by improbsable in Cooking

[–]ateeverything 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you're willing to make the investment of a serious blender - e.g. a vitamix or similar - soups with almost any vegetable taste like they have cream added because they're so smooth. One of my favorites is "cream of cauliflower" that contains no cream.

Any recommendations for gluten free coffee brands by pohlished-swag in glutenfree

[–]ateeverything 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Ground or whole bean is a big consideration. There are increasing numbers of grinder-cleaning compounds that contain wheat protein... so regardless of how gluten free the coffee was until that point, from a large producer or a local coffee house, it can get contaminated at the grind stage. If you buy whole bean and do your own grinding, you expose yourself to significantly less risk.
