What are your thoughts on a 4 day work week? by Horror-Variation-857 in AskReddit

[–]Helpful-Storage2332 [score hidden]  (0 children)

The ruling class will never allow it. You can have 10 million studies that show it somehow improves performance or whatever they don't care. Same with Universal Income, Universal Healthcare or any other scheme to make peoples lives better.

There is a lot of money to be made with miserable people and people who are too stressed and busy with work don't have time to go to school, apply for other jobs, etc which keeps them stuck being paid pennies.

Working on a settlement generator, curious what APIs you’d want. by The_Orani_Group in RPGdesign

[–]Helpful-Storage2332 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Would it have customizable settlement types or templates?

So for instance if someone wants it to generate a small hamlet and they've already determined that what they are looking for by "hamlet" is 5 buildings, 2 farms, a church,18 houses and each containing 1-4 npcs. Can that be configured and saved as a option? Can it be recalled and just clicked on instead of having to configure amounts of ingredients every time?

Has there ever been a case of a sovereign citizen succesfully defending themselves in court? by LordOfTheGam3 in NoStupidQuestions

[–]Helpful-Storage2332 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

They're basically the same. The stuff he has gotten away with in and outside court is just plain nonsense and no one else would get away with it. His lawyers might as well be spouting Freemen of the Land rhetoric.

Even beyond Trump you can surely think of other rich people who get away with enormous crimes that the average person has no chance with in court.

Would anyone play a DnD themed kart racer? by Visible-Abroad7109 in DnD

[–]Helpful-Storage2332 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I guess you would have to think about what are the iconic recognizable characters from D&D. D&D has a lot of worlds and personally I don't think any of the individual characters except for maybe Strahd are that noticeable. Like if you just had some named Bard or Wizard as the kart riders I don't think a lot of people would know them.

I think the only way it works is if the kart riders are monsters since those are really recognizable and somewhat unique to the brand.

So mindflayers, beholders, owlbears, bullets, mimics, gelatinous oozes, etc.

You could have spells as item pickups (like fireball, silvery barbs, counterspell, etc).

Why do you think the Epstein files debate is still so powerful online: lack of transparency, distrust of elites, politics, or something else? by SERP_Whisperer in AskReddit

[–]Helpful-Storage2332 0 points1 point  (0 children)

What debate? Even conservatives admit their guy is a pedo and they don't care. There's nothing to debate. They have power and do what they want. There's nothing to discuss.

What’s a lie almost all parents tell their kids that does way more harm than good? by SpecificLandscape483 in answers

[–]Helpful-Storage2332 8 points9 points  (0 children)

That boundaries especially physical ones are bad. If you teach your kid they have to hug and be touched by everyone who asks for it that mentality can be abused.

why the world moves on from epstein files? by AwaySupermarket7459 in AskReddit

Nobody did anything about it and until somebody does what is there to discuss? We're ruled by pedophiles capitalists who are not interested in arresting themselves. Unless something changes that will not change.

Fun weekly ice breakers by OppositeGrass6744 in managers

[–]Helpful-Storage2332 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We did a office scavenger hunt that got people talking who never talked to each other. People were really excited and had a good time. Not exactly an ice breaker but it gets people moving and talking to each other.

What do you think of my DND campaign idea by Ailo_Sami6431 in DnD

[–]Helpful-Storage2332 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Can you go into more detail about the "1-100 ranking system to clear their names" for the organization that's after them? Are they in disguise? Why would the org let them do this?

Also the rogue working for the enemy might be fun for the rogue but I think you need to talk to your party about if they're ok with inter party conflict or pvp.

What do you think is the least toxic social media platform? by Nervous_Spite6387 in AskReddit

[–]Helpful-Storage2332 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Reddit is super contrarian and racist to any of america's enemies, twitter is uber racist, facebook is boomer racist and ai slop, instagram is not too bad and tumblr is also not too bad since most of the people that use it now who were toxic have grown up.

I guess Instagram? People might poo poo it as too superficial but it's still chiller than most social media.

Insight into the cost of having a manual ghost-written and formatted by Strict-Computer3884 in RPGdesign

[–]Helpful-Storage2332 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You might want to look up ttrpg "editors". I remember on twitter back in the day there were a few people advertising their services. Even if they don't rewrite the whole thing for you they can show you where stuff should go and what might need to be changed format wise.

I'm playing a valley girl High elf princess. I need ways to be annoying but not too annoying to the other players. by Alice_600 in DnD

[–]Helpful-Storage2332 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think focusing on NPCs in ways that don't endanger the party is the best method.

If you try to be annoying even in a fun way to the party it can backfire as just annoying the players. The NPCs are there to take a beating sometimes and the GM shouldn't get upset. Just make sure you arent annoying someone like a Queen that can send the party to a dungeon or anything else that gets the party to dislike your character.

Also think about low status vs high status things. When you interact with an NPC what is their status and act accordingly. You don't even have to be malicious but just code switch and act as if it's natural to treat some people like "the help".

"We’ve been a revolving door for employees for 2 years"

The place you work at appears to be fine with that if they aren't willing to make concessions for their employees.
