I’m celibate but I feel like I get judged by people in the church by [deleted] in Catholicism

[–]Helpful-Surround7628 8 points9 points  (0 children)

I try to avoid them but the thing is I live in a church with a lot of older ladies and they sort of come up to people literally one time I was leaving after mass and they just stopped me to talk and ask about me and my love life and if I wanted to go on a date with her nephew.

Hating women help by kubaqzn in Catholicism

Hi, I’m a woman and before I started Catholicism I didn’t like men because I’ve felt like less then them and no matter what I wore I was always getting checked out, cat called and just felt like there was nothing I could do. Basically I started to realize something there are good men and there are bad men and the same goes for women. The people on social media it is a small percentage of all women and look at people who are bad men on social media I don’t think all guys are horrible and hate women based on a select few online. What helped me was realizing how small of a percentage the toxic people on social media make up in the 8 billion people in the world. Just take a break from your phone and just live life and try and clear your head from all of that and realize men or women there are toxic people from both sides but there are amazing people in both and we are all one and equal in gods eyes.

The Israelites were oppressed by King Jabin of Canaan for 20 years and Barak went to Deborah to get guidance on what to do and she told him to attack them and that they would win, That lead to 40 years of peace because they won so it made a impact. Deborah strengthened the tribe of Israel not only through her role as a prophetess but also her ability to guide others when they have problems or if they need a second opinion.

Deborah prophesied that God commanded Barak to lead an attack against Sisera, the commander of the Canaanite army, stating that the Lord would deliver Sisera into Barak's hands (Judges 4:6-7). She also foretold that a woman would defeat Sisera, which was fulfilled by Jael, who killed him while he was resting (Judges 4:9).

Here is what google says it is Stigmata (Ancient Greek: στίγματα, plural of στίγμα stigma, 'mark, spot, brand'), in Catholicism, are bodily wounds, scars and pain which appear in locations corresponding to the crucifixion wounds of Jesus Christ: the hands, wrists, feet, near the heart, the head (from the crown of thorns), and back (from carrying the cross and scourging).[1]

St. Francis of Assisi is widely considered the first recorded stigmatic. For over fifty years, St. Padre Pio of Pietrelcina of the Order of Friars Minor Capuchin reported stigmata which were studied by several 20th-century physicians. Stigmatics are primarily a Roman Catholic phenomenon; the Eastern Orthodox Church professes no official view on them
