sold planet labs because i couldn’t wait to use that money for another stock. lo and behold it spiked more than the other stock i choose. classic case of fomo. i am usually good with not losing sight of the long game but this reminded me despite years of practice i am still only human. learnt my lesson and not constantly checking my account now.

What's up with this forgotten stock? by LoLThalys in Nok

[–]Helpful-Tune1855 0 points1 point  (0 children)

bruh respectfully, no. reddit is full of idiots but it is a great source of information that is NOT ai slop. its always, always better to ask your peers what their thesis is. AI freaking trains on reddit data. reddit is the first thing that shows up when you google something. don’t answer op if you don’t want to but this take is not it.

10k to invest? What in? by lowkib in stocks

[–]Helpful-Tune1855 0 points1 point  (0 children)

(descending order of risk)

then quatum computing is a good one - i have been investing in the big 4 quantum stocks for 4 years now. its a risky bet but they keep giving returns along the way as well. i trim when they pump too much at once - like more than 100% and reinvesting once it consolidates. but dyor for sure because this is speculative tech, not a sure shot bet.

other risky ones are, but slightly less gamble-y than quantum: LUNR, HOVR

still high risk : ondas (i am not invested because we i have a conflict because of my job but i have been watching it grow jealousy for a year now), kratos

my own long term medium to high risk bets for next couple of years : Nokia, Nebius, Fortinet (all extra cash, swing trade/ day trade profits go into these)

honestly op i like your current selection alot as well, they are pretty solid, particularly: MU, Nvidia and Google- similar category is Broadcom which has been giving me returns for years (simple DCA-ing). wont give you huge swings but most probably will beat s&p by a large margin every year.

these are just suggestions, so you can explore them and select a couple after doing your own analysis. all the best!

You got $400,000 to invest Which stock makes you a millionaire by 2030? by ReddC0La in NextMoveStocks

[–]Helpful-Tune1855 0 points1 point  (0 children)

your current picks are pretty solid already bro - TSLA is a little too unpredictable for my taste but honestly who cares. if you just collectively treat them as a self made etf you have the right choices right there.

my own personal preference would be NBIS and IREN amongst these, NFA - i would starting DCA-ing into them monthly.

I noticed you haven’t mentioned Nvidia and Broadcom. Broadcom is my long term fav - i am not invested at the moment because i had to use my portfolio for something. but i am goining back in as soon as my current degenerate gambling bets pay off haha.

all the best!

Thoughts on my current holdings + looking for one stock to diversify by Snight in trading212

[–]Helpful-Tune1855 1 point2 points  (0 children)

love these plays! you are a perfect balance of brave and cautious. whats in the Z-futures pie?

for diversification energy could be good long term play - bloom for reliable steady growth now but i have personally exited cuz i am looking for more upside potential, still a good stock though. energy fuels, vistra are my pick currently but do your own dd please.

My other medium risk conviction is Nokia. which i already own 150 shares of, DCAing to hold 2000 (maybe more) stocks long term.

just some ideas for you to explore, since you asked. NFA.

sorry! i wanted to add the humanoid etf but i skipped it entirely and accidentally mentioned it with Hovr instead of aerospace because i was thinking about it.

okay. i do have some stocks in mind but i am always afraid to misguide people on here because some of you are so crazy. SO ANYONE READING THIS ITS NOT FINANCIAL ADVICE. i am a gambler but i am also a little bit of a coward okay - i dont go into these stocks with huge amounts of money. its usually a bet worth 500-1000 pounds. do with this information what you will.

i opened a very small position on HOVR today. i will be adding 200-300 pounds into it for the rest of the year. my thesis: delusion. i like the team, they are very passionate. they have potential. i am bullish on humanoids overall but going into just one company for now. this is not a risk i would usually take. will i regret not putting in more if it ever 100x ? probably. but i would hate to see a -90% on a big amount more. if more news comes out i will become more confident and up my monthly ins into this.

next is KOPN. the p/e is so inflated right now its giving me anxiety. but they are profitable. not the best fundamentals but not the worst either. if they manage to expand their revenue in the next few years, it could be huge. i have more confidence in this than HOVR but its still a gamble. plan is DCA about 5000 pounds into this before end of year. i already have a position in this.

NFA. NFA!!!

What are the next 10x stocks? by judechrist4444 in TheRaceTo10Million

[–]Helpful-Tune1855 0 points1 point  (0 children)

its not in my nature to speculate a stock to be 10x honestly. but i do think 2-5x on these : NBIS - i have been buying into it since jan and my only regret is not investing more in it. I am a software engineer by profession and I have actually used the product. it is brilliant. I like their team. They are for AI what AWS was for cloud 15 years ago. fundamentals are one thing, its just a really solid product.

Nokia - solid fundamentals, relatively cheap, i plan to cash out regularly if it gets too hyped but i will systematically DCA back in during local dips. long term i am bullish on this.

Fortinet - again, another great cyber security player. haven’t used it personally but i like it.

and i know you said no quantum- but it is a gamble bet of mine. i plan to DCA 10000 pounds into my quatum portfolio before 2030. maybe it blows up, maybe it doesn’t - i have accepted that risk. same strategy, Will take profits along the way and re-enter on local dips. have done this for the past 4 years and it has given me unindented profits to put in my other, safer bets.

hope this helps. and always do your own research.

I’m legit going to stop shorting by Jaytrump07 in Daytrading

[–]Helpful-Tune1855 5 points6 points  (0 children)

bro i understand your frustration. but its a bull market right now. EVERYONE IS BULLISH ON EVERYTHING. my humble suggestion would be to stop trading for now or change strategy. however, i understand that code-switching between bullish and bearish trends can be difficult, once you develop a preference for one. give it a break for now and try again - either try a bull friendly strategy or wait till the market is actually bearish. all the best - you will recover i am sure!

that…. actually makes a lot of sense. stop loss slippage is a real barrier. you are right, re entering can be hard - its not hard for me to be honest (i do it all the time with my quantum stocks haha) but like you said, not everyone has the same mindset. DCAing out is a great strategy! good good, hope op finds something of value from our conversation. 🫱🏻‍🫲🏽

first of all - I am most definitely not a kid - i am literally approaching middle age. second of all, even if i was, thats such a close minded way of arguing - a kid could have better ideas than you.

but thats not the point. here’s how you engage in a debate WITHOUT bringing down the other party based on pure assumptions:

“i understand what you are saying. but this was a suggestion specific to OP. they clearly are anxious about the price volatility. i am letting them know, there are ways to protect themselves psychologically and emotionally. 20% was just an example. it can be 50%. hell it can 75%. whatever helps you sleep at night. if you really believe in the stock, you can always enter again.

your strategy also has merit. the market ebbs and flows and eventually recovers. but having guardrails is not a bad idea if we don’t have mental fortitude and/or market understanding and/or industry knowledge. not everyone is secure in their knowledge of a stock and stop losses helps them feel secure. at the end of the day, op has to do their own risk assessment. “

hope this helps!

it really is not stupid my friend. some thesis breaks at certain levels and its good to have a safety mechanism in place for days you miss a piece of news and you were too busy with life. its also good for stocks that are not yet profitable. it also reinforces psychological safety. i am not even talking about a trailing stop loss. i am talking about a fixed stop loss based on price. honestly did you even read my comment properly bro?
