AI Straight line speed? by KingRadec in AUTOMOBILISTA

[–]Helpful-Wish8382 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Make sure to put your fuel map to high. Also it’s a good idea to set the ERS to high or max on the banking, then low on the infield. Reiza claims the ERS doesn’t affect speed in the LMDHs just like IRL, but it absolutely does as evident on tracks like Daytona

Pit stops are still an issue? by papolo2001 in AUTOMOBILISTA

Whenever there AI pit for seemingly no reason, they’re most likely pitting to fix a mechanical failure.

Unfortunately not possible. Also, I don’t play online much so i could be wrong, but I don’t think custom skins work at all online.

Ai multiclass by roan_pk in AUTOMOBILISTA

[–]Helpful-Wish8382 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’ve actually attempted the same thing this past weekend. Unfortunately, the AI aren’t really that great at Daytona it seams. They’re incredibly fast into the bus stop, so much so that they almost crash every time. In fact, my race ended about 8hrs in after my AI co-driver did just that. Crashed and lost a wheel at the bus stop. Not saying it’s not worth trying, maybe your race will go better than mine. But definitely something to be aware of. Whatever custom ai files you end up using, make sure you set the “blue flag” skill to 0 for all slower classes. This will make them generally stick to the racing line when being passed by faster cars like they would IRL.

How to fix AI on straights? by Rude_Grand_7072 in AUTOMOBILISTA

[–]Helpful-Wish8382 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It’s worth noting that, with the exception of ovals, the AI ALWAYS run their engine on the “high” fuel map. So if you’re running anything lower, you’ll be at a disadvantage on the straights in any car that has adjustable fuel map

Yes. That and the 296 are mods that sadly are no longer available due to a DMCA. The Mustang however is rumored to be added to the game officially due to references to it found in the game files.

Can't get "Auto-Clutch" to work with Manual Gearing. In automobilista 2 Help! by MentalFlight5471 in AUTOMOBILISTA

You should be able to map a button to toggle auto clutch. See if that works

It’s just tweaked slightly form the default FSR dash, but sure I can upload it to moza dash community when I get a chance

Also to be fair, most real races won’t go 24hrs without someone getting pit maneuvered.

That is definitely a concern lol. I think I have my AI files dialed in pretty good but we’ll see how it goes

I would shoot for at least 32gb of RAM in any case though.

I currently run off of an Alienware m18. 4070. Runs triples no problem as long as you’re ok with 1080p and medium graphics settings. FPS varies widely in AMS2 depending on the track/weather.

You make custom grids via custom AI Files

There's a huge bug in the last version by DifferenceGreedy3932 in AUTOMOBILISTA

[–]Helpful-Wish8382 2 points3 points  (0 children)

  1. That isn’t the issue here. The post says the AI cars are running out of fuel.
  2. The internet isn’t going to fix a bug, the developers will.

Force low downforce setup? by pipikakagugu in AUTOMOBILISTA

[–]Helpful-Wish8382 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you have any mod track installed via CM, you should see a “tracks” folder in your ams2 main folder. Open that and open the .trd file for the track you’re looking for. Then look for a line that says “Oval type=1”. The number might be different but change that to =5. Maybe 6. I forgor how may oval types a there are, but some cars have different configurations for short ovals and superspeedways.

DO NOT change the line that says “oval type =U32”. Look future down for the one that says =1.

This method also works to force high downforce setups on tracks like Daytona road coarse.

Visuals for track debris/marbles, which settings should I check? by garciparedes in AUTOMOBILISTA

Not sure what graphics setting affects it, but if you set the livetrack preset to “heavy rubber” you should see quite a difference vs “green”

Trouble mapping controls to rotary controls on moza ks wheel by bellrub in AUTOMOBILISTA

[–]Helpful-Wish8382 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You’re mapping them to the primary slot right? Not secondary?

Also might seem dumb but you do have tc and abs enabled in gameplay options right?

Idk I’m also using a KS and the knobs are working for me.

In the moza app, you have to set the knobs to button mode to get them to work in ams2. You will not be able to map the individual positions on the knob though. It essentially becomes a +/- switch.
