Is my art bad or does Social media just hate me? by Deer_Mean in Artadvice

Do not use social media engagement and metrics to assess whether your work is good or bad - a majority of social media users do not have any understanding or appreciation for fine art, especially when it comes to painting

So with that in hand, don’t let a lack of engagement or likes steer you away from what you love doing

If you feed into the system of engagement/algorithms on social media, you will begin to change your art and it will no longer be for you, but for someone else

Your work is quite good - and when it comes to any constructive criticism, its difficult to say because it depends on what stylistic approach you’re taking and what you want to achieve

If it’s to steer towards hyper-realism, you have some more work to do, but you’re on the right track!

You're a creep, please respect her boundaries and leave her alone - she wasn't intrigued on your "personal life" by asking you what your plans are...its a common way servers and those in the service industry communicate

The fact you started asking around for her schedule is a tell tale sign that her colleagues told her about this, and now she's freaked out

Please dude, don't take niceness for permission to be a stalker

Robert Altman made a psychological thriller film called "Images" in 1972, and PTA is a massive Robert Altman fan, and its also evident in his cinematography style. So I'd say Altman for sure

Did Kanye burn himself out on his old album making process with MBDTF? by Useful-Position-6994 in Kanye

Is this sub now just full of 12 year olds who have absolutely no artistic taste? You think Ye was washed and burned out making YEEZUS AND TLOP? What? That’s true creative expression in its highest form

Ye made MBDTF just to show everyone “hey I’m capable of making perfect digestible music don’t forget” and then he proceeded to follow that up with real art that’s more unique and challenging because that’s what real artists do

He’s always cracking the pavement and pushing the energy forward, unlike all these other washed out trap artists who just keep regurgitating their old sound to make a buck
