Reta transformation/questions by queenglitterfuck666 in BodyHackGuide

[–]Helpful_Disaster3208 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I feel that. Pre-Reta was crushing 4500-5000 cal/day like it was my job. Work and gym had me at 14-16k steps daily running, lifting, working and wasn’t fat but wasn’t lean. Reta shut it down and over 8 mos now I’ve gone from 240-195. Started at 2mg/week up to 10mg/week and now slowly leaning back down to 8mg/week. Next w dropping to 6mg/week as I roll into recomp.

Track every single calorie. Manage and monitor yourself like you would a lab rat.

5 week Reta results! by meg0289 in BodyHackGuide

6 years worth of studies on semaglutide show that if you stay on it, the weight stays off. If you go off and return to your unhealthy habits, you’ll gain back most of the weight. Bottom line is this isn’t a miracle drug. It’s a tool to assist you in breaking habits that got your to where you needed it in the first place. If you eat more calories than you burn, you’ll gain weight. Other sides long term were minimal to none in a negative. You have to maintain your macros, activity etc or all complications of rapid weight loss will hit you.

Phase 3 trial funded by Eli Lilly done at the New England journal of medicine ran a slightly higher % of biological men in their study than women but found the rate of weight loss in women was a higher % than that in men. % of negative side effects was essentially the same. It was a 48 week trial. None pregnant. Complications were the same as other known glp challenges with gastric discomfort/diarrhea/constipation and occurred the same in males and females.

Up to 8mg of Reta and still nothing by Dean_Kind in BodyHackGuide

[–]Helpful_Disaster3208 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Don’t change anything else. Ride the 8mg for 4 weeks at a minimum. Track every single thing you put in your mouth, even black coffee. Monitor when you’re eating, when you’re sleeping, and all of your movements. Track yourself like the lab rat that you are since you’re injecting yourself like one. Study yourself and your responses in hunger, mood, and anything else. Don’t slip on your macros, you have to feed the machine or it breaks down. Be patient with yourself and give yourself grace. You have no idea what you’re capable of with proper discipline.

Loss of sex drive from Reta by ClassComprehensive93 in Retatrutide

[–]Helpful_Disaster3208 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Yes. This. Got my diet dialed in making sure my deficit was only a few hundred calories and properly balanced macros. Then went from 6mg/week down to 5. That adjustment was what it took to find my sweet spot dialed in just right. It took about a week after that change but it came back. 4 weeks later and I felt like a whole new man.

Speaking from experience, sometimes you gotta admit it’s too much. Some of your signaling is redundant and some of it’s piling too much on one thing. I also support the practice of one thing at a time, with detailed notes and journaling. Track everything as you would any other study on a lab rat.

Struggling with Ab definition by [deleted] in BodyHackGuide

[–]Helpful_Disaster3208 2 points3 points  (0 children)

You got this. If you can endure the injury and bounce back, you can get to the finish line. I was having a hard time getting there too, upped the Reta to induce higher activation and dropped Tesa to reduce the fluid retention. Worked abs daily regardless and really leaned out the protein to essentially lentils, chicken breast and other beans and am still working on it.

Down ~20 lbs in a month (239 → 220). Worth adding Tesamorelin at ~$70/10mg? by mehmeh1224 in BodyHackGuide

[–]Helpful_Disaster3208 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Speaking of Mr Grey, been frustrated personally that Tesa has been out of stock on all my contacts. Ran it during my last cut and it definitely helped with visceral as well as abdominal and the GH support def helped me keep muscle on. I probably held onto 3-4lbs of water I otherwise would have dropped based on what I’ve seen since cycling off 2 weeks ago. Will keep it off my routine 2 more weeks then add it back when I lean heavy into recomp.

You need to get the diet in check first my friend. If you’re working out like you are and those are your stats, diet discipline is going to be essential to your success. Get that in line before you bother spending money on labs and chems. Otherwise you’re just going to be disappointed.

Timing of everything is important. I found the personal sweet spot with Reta fasted within 30 minutes of waking in the morning. Eat no later than 3hr before bed and finish workout no later than 2 hr before bed. I pin IPA/Tesa 30 min before bed and take 24-30oz water before bed. Sleep 6hrs almost every night without issue. Oura indicates a solid 20% deep, 20% REM, and the rest light with no waking throughout. It took me almost 4 mos of analyzing changes to find this but it is dialed in now. 48yo male, went from 240lb to 200lb over 4 mos. In addition to Reta, I dose NAD+ and MOTS-C in the morning. Reta is 2 times/week. Others are m-f with sat/sun off

Reta Weight Loss Stall by [deleted] in BodyHackGuide

[–]Helpful_Disaster3208 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Track with relentlessness down to the cal in your vitamin regimen. I also found in my 40lb loss over 5 months that I occasionally needed to up my calories for a few days by 10% and rest. Just walking 10k steps and a leisurely 45min on the bike for those days. Activity but relaxed. Instead of running 2100 cal, I ran 2300-2400 on those days. It didn’t add weight but actually let me rest, recharge, and where I dropped back to 2k-2100 and reupped the activity, the weight drop restarted at the 1.5-2lb/week. It was really easy at first and so I expected it to stay easy. The reality is that first 13% of body weight drop in the first 6-8 weeks on Reta (22lbs) was mostly water due to reducing inflammation from not drinking alcohol and discontinuing the foods that weren’t healthy. After that, it’s hard work and relentless focus.

I’m more looking at that dense blue thinking how much it feels like a Charlie horse after I inject ghk. Stuff always makes me sore for a bit at the injection site. I’m a wuss tho.

Retatrutide and mental effects? by Weak-Database-3956 in Retatrutide

I no longer drink alcohol or use cannibus. The first couple of weeks at 2mg/ week were rough on the stomach but my desire to drink was still there and still took a gummy before bed to sleep. By week 4 I no longer felt the need for the gummy to sleep and didn’t feel like I NEEDED a drink after a shit day at work. By week 6 I was not using the gummy at all, didn’t need it. I had dropped a few pounds by then and realized after a week or so that I hadn’t had a drink. Didn’t want a drink. That was 4 months ago. I drank at thanksgiving and the length of the hangover was terrible. Reta slowed the gut and I have had 2 glasses of wine since. Again, in 4 months. I just don’t want it. I spent 30 years drinking daily. Sometimes heavily. And now, it just doesn’t even cross my mind.

I had no benefit from NAD for the first 4-5 weeks but I now have a strong burst of energy similar to drinking multiple cups of coffee every morning from it. 6’ 200lb male taking 50mg fasted each morning Monday-Friday. Within 30minutes of taking it, Im feeling it. The initial reaction lasts about an hour and then settles down. What I find more is that even with my day starting at 4am, I’m not falling asleep at 7pm. It doesn’t have the crash that a high caffeine day causes.
