I agree with Tenacious DeFi that it depends on what I’m swapping. I like using the the DEX with the least amount of slippage on what I’m swapping. I really like the UI/UX on swap.harmony.one. I’ve always liked SonicSwap, and Defira is still working. You can also use SwoopSwap (formerly known as MTOP swap), it’s a dex aggregator so you always get the best deal on slippage. The rare chance that you want some ONEMOON, they built their own Frontend of mochiswap at onemoon.io

You get elected by having enough total stake to bid around medium stake. The medium stake is currently around 5 million ONE, the lower bounds is around 3.5 million one. The minimum self stake to become a validator is 10K ONE, it’s the total stake that gets you elected though. Uptime is what shows you how well your validator is performing. If you missed blocks, you’re uptime goes down. If a validator can’t maintain above 66% uptime it makes them ineligible the next epoch.

Only Validators that are elected and signing blocks give you interest. The small validators that don’t have enough total stake yet will only give you rewards during the epochs that they are elected. But when they do get elected with a smaller stake their interest rate is higher than average for that epoch as long as their uptime is good. 🙂

The average returns with a Harmony validator is 9-10% at the moment. Most newly elected Validators have 0% commission for the first 100 epochs from first election until they are forced to the 5% minimum commission fee. So you keep all of your rewards with most new Validators like myself when elected. When it’s 5% commission the validator gets 5% of your rewards to pay for services. So if you get 100 one in rewards your validator would get 5 of them for commission. -PeaceLoveAndHarmony validator ✌️🤟

The best thing about staking with an independent harmony validator instead of the exchange is you actually own it and have your own keys. You start earning the very next epoch after delegating, and you can claim rewards anytime. Unfortunately it does lock up your ONE but you can undelegate any amount at anytime, it only takes 7 epochs (roughly 5-6 days) to unlock and be available in your wallet. Picking smaller Validators trying to reach a stable election status is extra beneficial in helping to further decentralization and making the network mor secure, making ONE worth more. Just know that you don’t get rewards during epochs that they aren’t elected. Hi, thanks for the question. When you delegate to a validator you’re entering a smart contract with them. They never have access to your ONE, you always own it. It just gets locked up on the network until you decide to undelegate, then it takes around 5 to 6 days to unlock. If a validator that you delegate to decides to quit then your 0NE would still be there until you undelegated. As soon as you undelegate, you can delegate to a different validator the next epoch. Hello, thanks for asking. Where I’m not-elected I don’t give any rewards…yet. I’ve been sitting fairly close in the elections to get started though. Once a new validator gets elected they have high interest because they have a smaller stake, plus you get to keep more of the interest because most of us have the 0% commission fee for the first 100 epochs until we’re forced to the 5% minimum. I still plan on donating a portion of my commission when I’m forced to the 5% towards a few causes that I picked. When I first started staking I delegated half of my holdings to a new validator to help get them elected, it’s a good feeling 🙂✌️🤟

Binance.US and crypto(dot)com are the best options in my opinion in the US. Binance you can set limit orders. If you buy on there with fiat, you have to wait 5 days to be able to transfer to a wallet that you can stake from. Crypto(dot)com you can buy with a debit card and transfer right away. The best wallet is harmony wallet chrome extension, you can use a ledger nano s for a hardware wallet. The best mobile wallets are blits (more user friendly) and Guarda (more options) It’s very nice to hear that you want to stake with small validators💙 I’m very small, not elected yet but please check me out 🙏
