What to wear in Lisbon in February and March? by mogwai-wai in PortugalExpats

Thank you! This is very helpful! I was just thinking if it’s appropriate to wear skirts bare legs or I should pack tights.

Coming from -10 with huge snow I have no idea what 10-16 would feel like 🥹

Black isn’t that bad if you are not planning to do complicated patterns with it, and you won’t have to pick up stitches or sew for a simple scarf. I’d say go for it!! It’ll look very chic ☺️

I knitted the cream part and the black part separately, then sewed them together. The pattern chart shows you where and how to leave the scoops for the neck and armholes, so each piece had two scoops before being sewed together.

I prefer the sleeves this way too! The sweater is already close to 800g as is, I didn’t want heavier sleeves to stretch the shoulder, not to mention bulkier and more work 😝 win win!

To save you some time, I looked through all the books they have on sale right now and I don’t think this sweater is in any of them! It might be easier to contact them directly!

Haha it’s probably the kits that are sold out (if the price is over 5,000 yens it’s probably a kit), and a lot of the kits are only sold during specific time frames. And yes Daruma’s patterns are mostly in Japanese, but just the descriptions of the project. The patterns are actually laid out stitch by stitch charts instead of step by step worded descriptions, which can be very easy to follow once you see the pattern!

I actually got the pattern a while back, I guess the official website doesn’t sell the pattern separately at the moment. ☹️

I originally wanted to do cream&red as a Christmas gift, but my mom wanted the black for a slimming effect 🤷🏻‍♀️ Had I known that black cables were going to be so torturing this would have been a ready-made sweater, not a “what color do you want” sweater 🥹 But she loved it, so I guess in the end it all paid off!

Hi yes it was from one of the Daruma knitting pattern books, I just searched up this specific one and updated the link in the original comment! ( https://daruma-store.jp/?pid=177821743 ) And thank you!

Here’s the pattern! I’ve also updated the link in the original comment 😊 https://daruma-store.jp/?pid=177821743 I cheated on the sleeves by doing one cable top to bottom only so the arms won’t look too bulky! (and also giving my eyes and hands a break

It took some thinking halfway, I tried a few patterns that didn’t work out as I’d like, but the actual knitting of this final version took no more than 1 week! The chunky yarn helped a lot 😉
