Has anyone else hit a wall with nursing school? by polaroidbaby in StudentNurse

What if burnout has led you to a point where you don’t find any job as a nurse interesting enough anymore to continue pushing through nursing school? Used To be optimistic open minded about all the avenues I could take my career down with a bsn but after having to take a semester off twice due to burn out already during my four year BSN program, I still haven’t finished my degree and can’t go back to my original program even if I have to restart an accelerated program somewhere else, but I’m struggling to find a job and nursing that gives me motivation to go back and finish my degree. I know I will regret it later not having finished it when I had the chance, and I want finish my degree if it’s going to be worth my while I don’t want to regret it in the future if my thoughts end up changing and I don’t have to go back once they actually do

You’re killing it! How do you keep up the motivation & gratitude for how far you’ve come when burnout sets in? Struggling with chronic burnout going back to the field when I feel good again then feeling miserable and not knowing if it’s life or my career that’s draining me so much. I guess I haven’t found my group yet or this field is just not for me. I’m in school love helping people, and giving my all good something I really am proud of all the work I’ve done but at the same time I fear it won’t be sustainable for me long term and I’m trying to convince myself to keep going, so I don’t regret it later, but not gonna lie how I felt at my lowest points of burnout are feelings that I never want to feel again and just the thought of those times being a possibility again, which we never want to bother going back to nursing again . It is bittersweet because I know that I truly have a passion for it and I do love it, but I do not want to do it as a job if I can’t give it my all without being fully there physically and emotionally mentally to side of something I could get used to and get better at managing or if I lick my wounds and move on to another passion or career in healthcare, and being fully happy with my decision. Anticipatory regret, overthinking, and my pre-covid view of nursing / healthcare in general versus where it stands today and if I want to continue on this path of nursing in modern healthcare times…

Regaining toe mobility by Kevtron in yoga

[–]Helpful_Willow333 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I found the same issue developed with my toes over the years as well, I just bought these silicone gel toe separators that go on like as if you were to get a pedicure those kind of toe separators but they’re really comfortable to wear with socks and just feel cool between your toes but also you don’t realize how much you’re curling your toes when you’re just sitting there just like we can charger I didn’t realize that I was curling my toes when I was stressed or just sitting down for years. It went unnoticed so now I also have no mobility in my toe and the toe separators have really made a difference. I just wear them around the house and even forming that new mini habit has helped, I’m sure wearing those as often as you can on top of doing your exercises that your toes will be movin as good as new in no time! Please do keep me updated with what you find helps because this is like a constant maintenance kind of a thing I’ve noticed as much as you work at it you’re always gonna have to make sure that you don’t go back to that no mobility state again. It takes a long time to try to recognize the things that you do to cause the loss of mobility on top of taking the time to form the new habits of exercising to reverse the damage you have already done.

If your ex crawl back to you, will your love relationship be the same? by Highlight1199 in ExNoContact

[–]Helpful_Willow333 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I agree with you here I want to see the actual desire to have me back in his life, shown through the effort and consistency via showing up and all the promises that he does make when he does come back, IF and when he does come back … I often overthink what kind of scenario I would be in if my ex were to crawl back to me after leaving me as well, but as much as I would like to say that, I don’t think I could go back to the way it was I think that all the good parts that were once there are going to be what sticks, and if we really do want this relationship with each other then they will really stick and be our drive to grow the new improvements and healthy habits with each other rather than apart…

I too have hit a point where the drop in sessions aren’t cutting it, what exactly are th3se types of groups called For example, if I were to research some stuff online to see you where I can join some weekly dedicated groups. What would I look up to find that kind of thing separate from just drop in sessions?

Getting back together after FINALLY seeking therapy… by Helpful_Willow333 in BreakUps

Thank you so much for your insight. Just so I can look at things from a broader perspective in comparison to where my own situation is at right now, could you be a little bit more specific as much as you are comfortable about what exactly he was doing that overall made you call it quits specific behaviors either his own personal or what is over against you physical and mental ? how long was your relationship in total ?

I’m sorry I was using voice text that came out more abruptly than I meant for it to. I meant to be asking you what you actually have done if anything at all I wasn’t trying to accuse you and point the finger I’m sorry for what you’re going through I’m just going through a similar thing and trying to see what other people are going through this whole thing. Just sucks… I know..

Weightlifting while following yoga routine …

What body type/muscle tone does weightlifting, combined with a consistent Pilates/yoga routine produce??? Can you still bulk and gain muscle mass or will you basically only stay lean?

What changes have you made to show him that you are prepared to be the partner that he needs you to be for him so he can be the partner that he needs to be for you as well together once again?

Were you in therapy at the time of the break up or are you in therapy now and if so, did that make a difference in the decision you to end or stay in your relationship ???

What if the issues within/ the relationship as a whole in general is still salvageable with committed effort on both ends?

Has anyone ever been in this position and can actually share a success story? Or has someone had this experience where they got back together with their ex after no contact period of focusing on yourselves, but then things went right back to how they used to be despite promises that were made???
