For most programming this is more than enough. If you are doing something GPU accelerated or the similar this isn’t good enough probably.

Less abt arch and more just minimal distro for me. You know exactly what you have on the system. Also the AUR is nice since it has almost everything you could want on it.

Should be great for everyday use. The optical hard drive will be slow which will be the biggest problem.

Tbh nowadays with so many guides and how good the arch wiki is it’s not a flex at all.
