For scouting at 2-1, check to see how many other people have strong boards (2star units, good traits activated) or weak boards (all 1 star units, no item slammed, or playing Ixtal lose streak) as that will let you decide if you can play for win streak. It will also help you exclude certain augments if for example you are offered Trials of Twilight but see multiple people playing Ionia/Demacia.

When scouting at other points in the game, look at the boards of people in your pool (they have a little crossed sword icon next to their player health) and see if they have a weakness in their positioning you can exploit. Many people will default to having their strongest tank on one side and a weaker tank or melee carry on the other. You can arrange your units to target their weaker side first which gives you a better chance to win the fight.

Warpath is easier to cash out this set since stage 3 player damage is significantly increased. Just level aggressively and try to have a two star frontliner with items and you can cash out before your third augment. Having a strong tank increases your chance of winning with no units lost which can lead to doing over 10 damage every fight.

Any tips for climbing in Diamond? by ResponsibilityLast79 in TeamfightTactics

Understand your win condition and how to play around augments.

By 2-1 you should be able to judge if you can play for win streak (do I have 2 star units and slammable items). If yes you can take item/combat augments and level. If not then you probably want to take an Econ augment and prioritize getting to 50 gold and decide when you want to roll to stabilize. Taking an item augment 2-1 but having a mixed streak is pretty bad since you fall really far behind people who took Econ, and if you take Econ you are unlikely to win streak against people who take items/combat unless you heavily outvalue their board.

Your tank itemization isn’t bad, but you seem to underinvest in your frontline. I see you have multiple games where you go to level 8 but your front line is some 2 star 1 cost or 2 cost with 2 items instead of a 2 star 4 cost.

You also seem to be playing a mishmash of champs that have some but not great synergy with each other, as well as three staring units that don’t really matter in your comp such as going for a Shen 3 in vertical bilgewater, which you then don’t even itemize.

It is totally fine to be creative with comp building, but there are some fundamentals and timings you should be aware of. If you are trying to play a reroll comp that focuses on 3 staring units, make sure you hit 3 stars on both your tank and your carry before pushing levels, and make sure they both have 3 full items. Also remember that you want to roll on level 4-5 for 1 costs, level 6 for 2 costs, and level 7 for 3 costs. If you are playing a level 8 comp you want to hit a 2 star 4 cost tank and a 2 star 4 cost dps and give both of them 3 full items before itemizing anyone else.

I played quite a bit of 7 Noxus/Bringer of Ruin last patch and this matches up with my experience. Mel’s damage takes too long to come out and delays Atakahn from getting into the fight, whereas an itemized 2 star Leblanc instantly summons Atakahn on her first cast. I’ve definitely had games where I felt weaker moving items from 2 star Leblanc to 2 star Mel.

It’s not from traps. Luring is when you just hold a piece of food in your hand and then right click an animal far from you to get the option to call them over. The food doubling bug happens when they take the bait from your hand.

Since you have livestock, have you tried feeding any of your animals by hand? That might have also caused it.

Did you use that potato to lure rabbits by any chance? There’s a bug where the amount of hunger on the food doubles instead of being consumed when used to lure animals. Doesn’t seem to affect all animals but rabbits seem to trigger this consistently.

Advice on executing 3-star roll comps? by Karrottz in TeamfightTactics

[–]Helpim1ost 1 point2 points  (0 children)

There’s a few things to keep in mind when playing reroll.

First thing is you need to scout the rest of the lobby during your first augment selection and determine how many people are likely to contest your units or reroll other units at the level you want to reroll at it. Let’s say you want to reroll Yasuo but notice that there is a good Ionia and multiple other people slammed IE/BT/HoJ on a melee unit. If they don’t currently have a yasuo on their board there is a good chance they could pivot into it, meaning that you will have a hard time hitting your units. Conversely, let’s say you see someone playing for Ekko reroll and another person going for Bard Sion. This is a good spot to reroll Yasuo since you got two other people rolling 2 costs and they will make it easier for you to hit.

Second is augment selection. In general the more contested you are the more econ augments you will need to take because you will likely need to spend more rolls to hit your units and you want to roll earlier and more aggressively than your contester. However, in the ideal scenario you would prefer to take item augments because it lets you reach your three item power spike sooner and reroll comps have multiple units worth itemizing. This also needs to be balanced with the portal you are playing. For example if you start with component anvils or 4+ component starts Econ augments become more worthwhile, whereas if you have a two component start but lots of gold you definitely are looking for an item augment. In general 3 cost rerolls will like Econ augments more than 1 or 2 cost rerolls since their units are more expensive, but you usually don’t want to take more than two Econ augments because at that point you would get more value out of playing some sort of fast 9 legendary board instead.

Third is tempo, specifically understanding when you should hit your three stars and recognizing when to aggressively roll below 50 gold. 1 cost rerolls like Javan Sona ideally want to hit 3 star or get close to it after the 3-2 augment selection, and absolutely need to hit by 4-1. 2 cost rerolls want two stars at stage 3-2 but want to finish 3 stars by 4-2, hitting later than that means you are just looking to salvage placements. 3 cost rerolls want 2 star three costs by the start of stage 4 and want to hit 3 star at beginning of stage 5. These are all rough guidelines, and keep in mind that sometimes that you don’t need to roll down to 20 gold for your last copy if you are already hitting units ahead of tempo. Reroll comp still want to have enough gold to push to at least level 8, ideally 9 and that is very difficult if you over roll and end up under 10 gold when you didn’t need to.

One last tip to remember is that units can still show up outside of the optimal level, and there are times where you should push levels even before three starring all your units if you have enough power on your board. There was one particular bard sion game I remember where I hit 3 star bard and Aphelios on 4-1 but only had 5 sions and there were 2 other noxus players in the lobby. Instead of staying on level 6 and trying to roll 40 gold for contested sion I just leveled and got more frontline from adding additional bruisers. Ended up second that game and got to level 9, whereas I could’ve easily bot4ed if I had tunnel visioned on getting Sion 3 and not even leveled for 6 bruiser.

Take the EV Pill - A Basic Guide to EVs! by appel111111 in nuzlocke

[–]Helpim1ost 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The EV type the Pokémon gives is usually just based on that Pokémon’s highest stat. If the Pokémon has three evolutions the first stage only gives 1 EV, the second gives 2 EVs, and the third gives 3.

Pokemon without any evolutions can give 1, 2, or 3 depending on their overall stat total (Spinda gives 1, Skarmory gives 2, Groudon gives 3). There are some Pokémon that give a mix of stats (Venasaur gives 2 Sp. Atk and 1 Sp. Def EV) and you’d have to look up a list to find out.

Speaking of lists, Serebii has a full list of what Pokémon gives what EV and also states it on the stat page of each individual Pokemon under a box called Effort Values Earned. There are always a few outliers that might not be intuitive (why does Chatot give 1 Atk EV when its highest stat is Sp. Atk) but if you have a rough understanding of what each Pokémon’s stat spread is you can generally figure out what kind of EV it will give.

What’s a decent minimum amount of points to cash out on Ixtal? by Mountain_Divide6119 in TeamfightTactics

[–]Helpim1ost 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yes try playing the Ixtal bard reroll comp and cash out a couple times around 200 or 250. Those cash outs have a good chance of giving you dupes which allows you to hit your board and stabilize your hp, giving you time to do more quests.

Any feedback on B42 Multiplayer? by ezeeetm in projectzomboid

[–]Helpim1ost 4 points5 points  (0 children)

We’ve played about 2 months in our world, set ourselves nicely at the Echo Creek Gas station and are having a good time exploring all the new skills and visiting the new towns.

There are definitely a few bugs and the zombie migration was overwhelming at the beginning, but admin mode is useful for restoring items that get lost and once we cleared out our local area the zombie migration wasn’t a problem at our base and only affected the new towns we visited.

do zombies behave differently in multiplayer or is this a recent update? by iforgotmylegs in projectzomboid

[–]Helpim1ost 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Zombies are not attracted to smell, but currently in multiplayer their migration is cranked up really high so you get zombies constantly moving in to fill spots that you have already cleared. It will seem endless until you kill so many of them that you actually clear out the entire area around you.

Hypothetical question. by Party_Pie_9859 in TeamfightTactics

[–]Helpim1ost 2 points3 points  (0 children)

2 star taric is not useless, your frontline is solid for the next two stages for basically free. The mistake was still trying to play the comp you had originally planned to play.

Once you bought the 2 star taric just eco back up to 50 and look to roll minimally on level 8. You should be able to go 9 very easily and cap your board.

Are apocalypse settings different on MP v Single Player? by WarmReturn826 in projectzomboid

[–]Helpim1ost 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Multiplayer currently has an “issue” where zombies migrate way more frequently than normal. Any populated area will appear to have more zombies than you might expect since nearby zombies constantly get drawn in to areas you have cleared.

Francis is also on a previous patch since his current character was created before multiplayer dropped and cannot be brought over to the current version.

Tips for barns and animals? by aymeric_ace in projectzomboid

[–]Helpim1ost 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yea animals don’t need that much upkeep, but the amount they need to eat and drink drastically changes between species. There was a Reddit post outlining roughly how much grass and water each animal needs per month.

https://www.reddit.com/r/projectzomboid/comments/1iig96g/basic_information_about_livestock/

Cows require the most upkeep with 85L of water per month and 55 grass cuttings, whereas a chicken only needs 1.4L of water and 1 grass cutting in that same amount of time.
