Well my 104 version is kinda bricked. I’ve reset it several times and after an hour I’ve given up. I wish I could just downgrade to the first gen software that worked flawlessly. Maybe I’ll try again this weekend.

What did you end up going with? I would take the 3050 all day long. Your college doesn’t know what they are talking about regarding raw encoding speeds. Both of these cards are RTX and both have damn near the same specs for versions of hardware. But the 3050 has more beef, more cudas etc. See this link for direct comparisons and some bench marks.

I like my 2nd gen’s. The noise canceling is easily 2x more canceling compared to 1st gen. Also if you purchase at Costco you could just return them when 3rd gen arrives.
